To enable BeautyTech, while operating in an extremely challenging environment, the IT organization needs to constantly adapt and be strongly connected with new market trends and structural shifts. With that in mind, our IT organization must demonstrate flexibility and resilience, agility and proximity to the markets, while delivering globally at scale with efficiency and customer and employee centricity.

In this context The Vendor Management Office aims to support all IT functions across zones to succeed in our Beauty Tech ambitions.

Vendor Management is a critical function in our IT organization, as we rely on a complex network of vendors to support our IT strategy. It enables the governance of our strategic suppliers to optimize value throughout the relationship lifecycle.

Main objective: Develop vendors’ value to optimize our sourcing strategy in line with our IT strategy and day to day operational activities.

The Senior Vendor Management role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Develop vendor strategy: The Vendor Manager develops strategies for managing vendors and improving vendor performance, including identifying opportunities to consolidate vendors.
  • Market knowledge: The Vendor Manager stays up to date with industry trends and best practices, attending conferences and networking with other professionals to stay informed and share knowledge.
  • Market intelligence: The Vendor Manager is responsible for identifying and evaluating potential vendors based on factors such as tech expertise, quality, cost, reliability, and reputation.
  • Manage vendors’ governance is key to optimize services, costs, and capabilities through Strategic Business reviews to organize and lead the vendor portfolio.
  • Manage vendor relationships: The Vendor Manager maintains ongoing relationships with vendors to ensure that they are meeting contractual obligations and delivering the expected level of service and quality.
  • Monitor vendor performance: The Vendor Manager monitors vendor performance through regular reviews and assessments, tracking key performance indicators and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Resolve vendor issues: The Vendor Manager acts as a point of contact for vendors to resolve any issues or disputes that may arise, working collaboratively with other departments within the organization as needed.
  • Ensure compliance: The Vendor Manager ensures that vendors follow regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct vendor risk assessments: The Vendor Manager conducts risk assessments to identify potential risks associated with vendor relationships and implements measures to mitigate those risks.

This position reports to the Global Vendor Management Officer.

Secondly, in this specific position, it will be important for you to have:

  • To be successful as a Senior Vendor Manager, candidates should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A deep worldwide market knowledge of IT global vendors as well as of IT products and services (software, cloud, hardware, and outsourcing) is required.
  • A strong experience in people management
  • A strong packaging and presentation skills is necessary
  • An understanding of contract terms and conditions.
  • Fluent English is mandatory
  • A Master in business administration, IT or a related field is typically required, along with 10 to 15 years of experience in vendor management.
