The Operations & Finance Supply Chain Data Analytics (SDA) team is dedicated to imagining and building the new supply chain tools of tomorrow for L'Oréal factories and suppliers.

What a day in the life of the SDA team looks like:

Manufacturing Supply chain Team is accountable to design and deploy the IT planning solutions (long term production planning, detailed scheduling, procurement, and supplier collaboration) for the L’Oréal 35 factories all around the world. The team are very connected with the MSC community and the business owner to provide the most efficient solution.

As part of the Manufacturing Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for:

Build

  • Collect needs, challenge, develop, optimize and maintain operational information systems to support the Group's global growth.
  • Challenge the needs expressed by the sites according to the opportunities offered by the system or by proposing innovative solutions; challenge integrators on the solutions proposed by them.
  • Implement business practices in the system by translating management processes and rules into functional specification and configuration. Write the relevant documentation in its field by applying the quality assurance plan.
  • Propose organizational solutions and / or specific developments to resolve discrepancies, while seeking to minimize specific developments.

Deploy

  • Build skills on the solutions in place to be able to deploy them to different entities / brands of the Group (from configuration to implementation)
  • Establish solution specifications and design them, adapt applications, prepare functional tests and be accountable for validating developments before deployment.
  • Promote the smooth running of the deployment by organizing training and demonstrations, and by developing documentation and practical examples for users.
  • Receive and validate the changes requested by the sites, ensuring consistency as well as their integration with respect to other areas.

Run

  • Ensure the support level 4 for Final users (Support Levels 1, 2 and 3 are managed by an external supplier). “Eat what you cook” concept: You will be in charge of the hypercare of the solutions you provided.
  • Build and update documentation and participate in the facilitation of training.
  • Contribute to the development and sustainability of information systems (contact with internal customers, development and implementation of new functionalities, participation in cross-functional projects, etc.)

Coordinate

  • Identify, analyze and escalate risks, and develop action plans to overcome them.
  • Drive the progress of the processes for which he/she is responsible. Be an actor in his/her own planning and report any identified risk of drift.
  • Manage current relationships with Business Owners by keeping them regularly informed of the planning and progress of developments and improvements.
  • Respect the project methodology by regularly updating the following documents: planning & costs, risk matrix, project monitoring sheet.
  • Coordinate and respect the timeline of the project.
  • Manage complex IT projects (Example: Interface of planning solution with S/4 solution) with multiple contacts.

Your 3 main challenges will be:

  • Challenge the Business to translate and design a simple technical solution for the end-user supply chain community.
  • Bring real added value to Data strategies for the Group Supply Chain
  • Have a real ability to adapt and a sense of innovation, to propose new ideas to present the supply chain data of tomorrow to end users, allowing them to facilitate daily tasks and optimal management of their activity.

THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED!

Secondly, in this specific position, it will be important for you to have:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience and an advanced degree in engineering or technical/scientific field of study
  • Good knowledge in Manufacturing Supply Planning domain: Optimizer & Subcontracting planning
  • Good knowledge in Procurement process: multi tear visibility, VMI, wall to wall, suppliers’ evaluation

Technical Skills

  • ERP SAP: ECC (PP/MM), S/4 HANA APO SNP/PPDS is a plus
  • An experience in any other APS (Advanced Planning scheduling) than APO is a plus
  • Good knowledge and practice API and EDI interfaces
  • Supplier collaboration SAAS solution portal as E2open (plus), ARIBA, OpenText

Soft Skills

  • Project management
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong humility and set a collaborative approach to problem solving,
  • Be able to demonstrate strong resilience and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment,
  • At least a first experience of a solution implementation or deployment project (end customer or consulting firm)
  • Very good level of English and French
