What You Will Do:

L'Oréal is seeking a seasoned Senior Component Supply Planner to lead our efforts in ensuring the availability of critical materials for the manufacturing and production of our iconic beauty and cosmetic products. In this role, you will take charge of all aspects associated with materials supply planning and inventory management, lead through influence with both internal and external partners, and manage strategic projects in support of supply chain excellence.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred) or applicable industry experience
  2. Extensive experience in supply chain planning, with a strong background in strategic supply management and project leadership
  3. High Proficiency in MS Excel required (including data analysis, logic testing, pivot tables)
  4. Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  5. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to lead and execute cross-functional projects
  6. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to mentor and guide junior team members
  7. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  8. Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
  9. Results-driven mindset with the ability to influence and drive positive change within the organization
  10. Adaptability to dynamic environments and an eagerness to take initiative in driving supply chain excellence

Key Responsibilities:

Materials Supply Planning

  • Develop and execute strategies to meet production demands while maintaining optimal inventory levels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules, sales forecasts, and product demand fluctuations
  • Monitor and analyze demand patterns, material consumption, and supplier performance to make data-driven decisions

Inventory Management

  • Conduct regular analyses of inventory data, identifying slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and proposing corrective actions
  • Regularly assess and implement safety stock levels based on demand variability and lead time fluctuations to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure customer service levels are met
  • Generate and distribute inventory reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders, providing insights into inventory performance
  • Drive alignment for divisional liability of business-owned obsolete stocks

Leadership through Influence

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior planners, contributing to their knowledge base and growth within the organization
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Display calm and effective leadership during crises, influencing teams to stay focused and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances

Project Management

  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements within the materials planning and procurement functions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Lead supply chain projects aimed at improving stakeholder collaboration, aligning supply chain activities with business objectives, and optimizing operations
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and thought leadership to teams on supply chain strategy, trends, and industry best practices

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with component suppliers, negotiating terms, addressing supply constraints, and ensuring on time deliveries
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance, including supply disruptions, quality issues, and financial stability
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve lead times, cost-effectiveness, and communication to resolve supply issues promptly while adhering to L'Oréal's ethical and sustainability standards

Performance Metrics and Reporting

  • Utilize advanced supply chain management tools and systems to analyze complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and support informed decision-making
  • Generate sophisticated reports and dashboards to communicate supply planning performance, trends, and opportunities to senior management
  • Provide feedback to the corporate sourcing team to address supplier performance issues and influence future contracts
  • Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to materials procurement
