What You Will Learn
A Microbiologist is responsible for performing microbiological quality control testing on incoming raw materials, in-process bulk, and finished goods. This testing also includes managing nonconformances, assisting with supplier rejects, assisting with hygiene validations, and supporting quality investigations. You will gain expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, managing inventory, and performing air, water, and environmental monitoring. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely material disposition and support production needs. This role offers opportunities to develop skills in data analysis, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Understands and leads the department expectations and floor priorities. Demonstrates initiative and flexibility beyond scope of job.

Required Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a microbiological laboratory acquired within an industry (pharmaceutical, cosmetic, agri-food) is required.
- Proficient in (or willing to learn) Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Analytical and statistical skills for result interpretation.
- Organized, process-driven, and able to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
- Willingness to cross-train and provide coverage for other lab roles as required.
