About The Role

As Amazon Retail Media Manager within the French market, you will own and drive the full Amazon Retail Media strategy for two of L'Oréal's most iconic division clusters in France: L'Oréal Luxe France (LLF), home to brands like Lancôme, YSL Beauté, and Giorgio Armani Beauty and L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty (LDB), including La Roche-Posay, Vichy, and CeraVe.

This is a France-focused role, sitting at the heart of L'Oréal's French e-commerce and media ecosystem. You will be the key expert and go-to leader for Amazon performance media across these two divisions, working hand-in-hand with local brand, e-commerce, and marketing teams to accelerate growth on one of France's most strategic retail platforms

RETAIL MEDIA STRATEGY & EXECUTION

  • Define and lead the lower-funnel Amazon media strategy for LLF and LDB brands in France, aligned with each division's growth ambitions.
  • Orchestrate end-to-end performance campaign execution in partnership with our media agency (Publicis Media), driving measurable impact against France-specific business targets.
  • Spearhead the Amazon measurement and media innovation roadmap, leveraging cutting-edge capabilities such as Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) and Amazon AI tools.
  • Collaborate closely with the French CDMO teams, BU Media Managers, and the cross-divisional Amazon France team to implement local media guidelines, strategic partnerships, and innovation initiatives — while ensuring alignment with broader cross-divisional and international strategies.

PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Lead regular performance reviews with the agency, driving always-on budget optimization and maximizing ROI across all campaigns.
  • Translate complex media and data insights into clear, actionable performance updates for key French market stakeholders across e-commerce and media functions.
  • Establish and animate the right governance framework between internal teams (marketing, media, e-commerce) and external media agencies to ensure smooth, effective collaboration.
  • Partner with agencies to co-build the annual media strategy, robust measurement frameworks, testing protocols, and attribution models — ensuring campaign scalability and performance benchmarking within the French market context.

TEAM LEADERSHIP & CAPABILITY BUILDING

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and community leader for Amazon Retail Media topics across both divisions in France, working closely with Online Brand Managers, Amazon Project Leads, CDOs, and Division E-commerce teams.
  • Champion upskilling and knowledge-sharing programs to elevate Amazon retail media capabilities within LLF and LDB teams.
  • Contribute to the Amazon Joint Business Planning (JBP) process alongside Commercial teams to strengthen L'Oréal France's strategic partnership with Amazon.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a results-driven, collaborative leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for digital performance.

  • 5+ years of experience in digital media and/or e-commerce, brand-side, agency-side, or consulting
  • Deep expertise in performance media channels, particularly search and retail media (Amazon Ads experience strongly preferred)
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to translate strategy into concrete, excellently executed action plans
  • Strong analytical and ROI-driven mindset, with a track record of delivering measurable business results
  • Ability to lead, influence, and federate a diverse community of media, marketing, and e-commerce stakeholders
  • Fluency in French is essential for this France-market role; strong English is a plus for cross-divisional collaboration
