Your missions
As a member of the Packaging team, you will contribute to performance management and support the Packaging teams in their decision-making process. Your objectives will be concrete, and your responsibilities stimulating. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Technical development of new packaging: You will contribute to the design and technical development of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, working closely with design, marketing, and production teams while respecting cost, quality, and time constraints.
- Material selection and qualification: You will analyze and test various materials (plastics, glass, cardboard, metals, innovative materials) to guarantee their performance, safety, and sustainability, in compliance with L'Oréal standards and regulations.
- Eco-design and circularity projects: You will assist in identifying and implementing more sustainable packaging solutions (reduction, reuse, recyclability, integration of recycled materials) to contribute to our CSR objectives.
- Supplier monitoring and industrialization: You will work in collaboration with Sourcing teams and packaging suppliers to monitor prototype development, technical qualifications, and industrialization phases, ensuring the feasibility and reproducibility of designs.
- Packaging project management: You will participate in project tracking, from the briefing phase to product launch, coordinating various internal and external stakeholders.
- Technological and competitive watch: You will explore packaging innovations, new technologies, and competing packaging solutions to fuel the creativity and performance of our designs.
Some skills you will develop in this role: Packaging engineering and development, materials science, eco-design, technical project management, supplier monitoring, and packaging regulations.
Your Profile
- You are currently enrolled in a Master 1 or Master 2 program at an engineering school (specializing in Packaging, Materials, Mechanics, or Industrial Design) or a university (specializing in Materials Science or Packaging Engineering), looking for a gap-year or end-of-studies internship.
- You are fluent in both English and French.
- You are proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent) and have solid knowledge of packaging materials and their processing methods. Knowledge of LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) or regulatory packaging standards would be a plus.
- You have a strong analytical and technical mindset, are rigorous, organized, and possess a high degree of creativity and practical sense. Your proactivity, curiosity for innovation, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team within an international environment will be major assets.
