Bing's Visual Search and Recommendations team develops technology and experiences that enable visual understanding and related content suggestions for images and videos. As a Principal Product Manager you will work in the important field of visual search, which has applications in various domains such as Shopping; Search; Camera Apps; Monetization; Intelligent Assistants; Enterprise and Virtual Reality. Responsibilities

  • Work with Engineering and Product teams to deliver a visual search and image recommendations experience to the end user.
  • Define & improve Image recommendation and personalization results for Bing and other consumer scenarios.
  • Build and develop relationships with internal and external partners to drive new scenarios.
  • Analyze and identify business problems and/or opportunities and set clear strategy road-map.
  • Manage strategy development cycles and define key milestones.
  • Foresee and resolve bottlenecks, anticipate, and balance trade-offs, and weigh customer and business needs against technical limitations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Big Data, Machine/Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing and/or Data Mining.
Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of cross group collaboration experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and data analysis.
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and go deep in new focus areas.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with partners and customers and translate requirements into product vision and road-map.
  • Proficient communication and analytical skills.
  • Search industry experience is preferred.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
