About the Role:
Data Governance team is setup to develop and maintain the right metadata, master data, data quality parameters, data lineage, KPI reports and workflows to ensure that data is governed, consistent, reliable, and easily accessible for decision-making while ensuring data is maintained across as per Pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance requirement.
The role of a Finance Data Governance Associate involves being responsible for the daily management of data and promoting Data Literacy. They serve as Subject Matter Experts who have a deep understanding of information and effectively communicate its meaning and usage. Their main responsibilities include implementing data governance standards and policies, as well as managing metadata and data lineage in various systems and tools such as Collibra, SharePoint, SAP, and Alteryx.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Finance Data Governance Associate assists in defining business rule for the data and documenting metadata for various data elements
• Work closely with finance functions and other key finance data stakeholders to ensure execution of data stewardship tasks as per aligned stewardship agreement and standards
• Cooperates cross functionally with other stakeholders on solving data governance and data quality issues
• Continuously monitor progress of data quality KPIs and ensures adherence to data standards
• Ensure continuous and effective communication with relevant team members, stakeholders and colleagues in relation to stewardship activities
• Collaborate effectively with data community to facilitate shared learning between Business Users and Stewards and to promote active Data Governance through the Data Governance team
• Review and approve data exceptions for the data created by Data Maintenance team
• Execute data stewardship tasks, using common methods & tools
