Ethics & Compliance Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Ethics and Compliance Specialist will support the Ethics and Compliance Department in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s Ethics and Compliance Program. This role is designed for a junior professional who will work closely with senior team members to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best‑practice standards across all geographies in which the company is present.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITES
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Ethics and Compliance Programs across business units and projects
- Support the development, update, and documentation of compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Participate in risk assessment activities, including monitoring mitigation measures and control effectiveness and design and implementation of risk mitigation measures aligned with the company’s Ethics & Compliance Program.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of control frameworks and monitoring mechanisms to minimize operational, legal, and reputational risks.
- Conduct research on compliance‑related legislation, jurisprudence, and best practices (anticorruption, criminal compliance, personal data protection) and assess the impact of regulatory developments and contribute to updating the E&C Program accordingly.
- Continuously monitor changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the company is aligned with new legal requirements.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Personal Data Protection Program in alignment with GDPR and other applicable regulations.
- Support the execution of third‑party Integrity Due Diligence processes.
- Assist in drafting training content, communications, and awareness materials related to Ethics, Compliance, and Personal Data Protection.
- Help maintain internal Compliance and Ethics websites/intranet spaces.
- Support the development of periodic compliance reports for senior management.
- Carry out additional duties as required.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration or a related field.
- Additional training in Compliance, Ethics or Data Protection is an advantage.
LANGUAGES
- Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Good command of any other language will be an advantage.
PROFFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
- 1–3 years of experience in compliance, ethics, risk management, legal, audit, or related areas (internships included).
- Basic understanding of compliance frameworks (anti‑corruption, regulatory compliance, governance, data protection).
- Familiarity with risk management methodologies and compliance monitoring tools.
