The Franchise Manager role will be assigned to operate as the lead franchise and commercial person for the PepsiCo Japan beverage business. This includes the delivery of AOP plans and achievement of growth target acting as the main point of contact for PepsiCo in managing relationships with Suntory Japan and delivery key business agendas.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you will be responsible for:
Business Strategy Setting, Plan Development and Execution
- Lead the partnership and relationship between PepsiCo and Suntory to develop, align, influence and execute AOP plans to ensure delivery of annual volume targets.
- Lead report and performance analysis, tracking overall business performance against strategy and adjusting plans and investments as necessary
- Own the A&M budgets for Japan and need to drive optimal spending as well as close tracking/monitoring of all to-date spends with P&L accountability with consultation of GM.
Bottler Relationship Management
- Maintain the PepsiCo- Bottler relationship via strong interpersonal/communication capabilities, good stakeholder management and a continuous effort to add value and build the trust/confidence from business partners in PepsiCo.
- Lead JBP with the bottler to develop market strategies to ensure the sustainable and profitable growth in Japan, with supports from internal functions
- Work closely with the bottler to plan and deliver marketing and sales promotional activities across all channels in Retail and AFH.
Operating Capability Development
- Support bottler to build capabilities via sharing of PepsiCo best practices and through close collaboration and leverage of strengths/ resources within PEP system.
- Develop product innovations to strengthen portfolio for sustainable business growth
What you will need to have:
- Min a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of 12+ years extensive sales or marketing experience in an FMCG environment, with a minimum of 5 years managerial experience. Thorough understanding of the Japan market is a must - consumer / category / channel / customer. Experience in Franchise business model is a plus
- Mature with strong people leadership skills – comfortable to work in a matrix organization, exerting good organization impact with confidence
- Excellent problem-solving skill and capability to take strategic plan into action
- Logical and analytical skills using data & facts to build strategy
- High interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills with strengths in communication skills, to build strong relationship with multiple work layers (working level to senior management level)
- Good attention to detail and comfort in getting hands dirty
- Fluency in Japanese and English languages
