The Quaker Cost Accounting Senior Analyst role is responsible for managing the cost accounting function to ensure accurate recording of cost of sales and inventory, including leading the period close process. This includes partnering with cross functional teams such as operations, plant performance managers, and supply chain finance to ensure financials are accurate, as well as oversees the standard costing process for all inventory for Quaker Canada. The Quaker Cost Accounting Senior Analyst role will play a critical part in supporting with Quaker PGT implementation. This role oversees 1 direct report.

Total Compensation: $75,300 – $122,760
Responsibilities- Oversee the team managing standard costs for all raw materials, packaging, produced finished goods, and purchased finished goods for Quaker
- Lead the period close process for Quaker
- Manage accounting processes for Quaker Supply Chain costs including commodities, manufacturing, and inventory valuation processes. This includes supporting in variance investigation and helping cross functional partners understand their results
- Ensure that internal cost accounting processes, procedures and SOX controls are completed and compliant with accounting standards for Quaker
- Lead the Quaker costing AOP process, ensuring that all standard costing elements are loaded accurately and timely
- Support Quaker PGT implementation and stabilization
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA designation is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP tool
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise on financial transaction reporting related to manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain costs, including hedge accounting required
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with employees across the organization ranging from site resources to senior management
- Strong people leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Ability to embrace change
