Responsibilities

Job Overview: The Maintenance Assistant supports the maintenance department by carrying out general maintenance tasks and assisting Millwrights as required. This role contributes to the safe, efficient and continuous operation of plant, equipment and facilities.

Assist the maintenance department with day-to-day maintenance activities
Support Millwrights during repairs, installations and servicing of machinery when required
Perform general maintenance duties, including basic mechanical tasks, cleaning and upkeep of equipment
Prepare tools, materials and work areas before and after maintenance activities
Report equipment faults, defects, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
Adhere to health, safety and workplace procedures at all times
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
