ResponsibilitiesThe Opportunity
The LATAM Enterprise Architecture (EA) Lead is accountable for driving the enterprise architecture function within the LATAM sector. This role supports all sector initiatives and operates under a matrix reporting structure to the LATAM Deployment Lead.
Your Impact
As LATAM Sector Enterprise Architecture Lead your scope would consist of:
- Strategy & Roadmap Development: Define the sector’s technical strategy and roadmap in alignment with global EA standards and guidelines. Ensure solutions are reusable, standardized, and meet business needs outlined in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) as well as out-of-cycle requests.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the sector’s systems portfolio in collaboration with the Application Optimization team within EA.
- Architecture Governance: Apply standard EA practices by developing conceptual, logical, and physical architecture artifacts and guiding them through EA governance processes.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of architects within the LATAM sector.
- Define and govern solution architecture for major initiatives across LATAM.
- Develop and maintain business capability and technology capability roadmaps for the LATAM sector.
- Manage and optimize the LATAM sector’s systems portfolio.
- Support the evaluation and selection of solutions, platforms, and components as needed.
- Own and maintain solution architecture documentation for key initiatives.
- Review projects to ensure implementation aligns with the defined solution architecture.
- Deliver consistent solution architecture (conceptual, logical, and physical) for transformation initiatives, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, flexible, scalable, and sustainable.
- Analyze and review business, functional, and technical requirements; drive solution decisions and ensure alignment with the Strategic Design Framework.
- Build strong partnerships across PepsiCo by engaging with diverse stakeholders, including LATAM Sector Deployment teams, Transformation teams, and Technology Enablement teams.
- Apply best practices for enterprise functions, including security, performance, development, and application governance, to serve as a trusted advisor across PepsiCo.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in the software industry.
- 5+ years of experience managing senior-level professionals.
- 3+ years of experience in Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience across all functions within the CPG industry.
- Ability to interpret and apply PepsiCo’s North Star architecture in developing sector-level solution architectures.
- Strong understanding of PepsiCo’s Enterprise Architecture processes, including technology evaluation, ServiceNow demand intake and approval, North Stars, Business Capability Reference Models, and standards.
- Familiarity with PepsiCo’s Enterprise Data Foundation (EDF) architecture, data integration patterns, and data & analytics concepts.
- Expertise in integration technologies and patterns, as well as data architecture principles.
- Experience with architecture design patterns, systems integration, microservices, messaging patterns, streaming solutions, and Azure technologies (Event Hub, Event Grid, Service Bus, etc.).Knowledge of cloud-native principles, modern software development stacks (Java-based microservices, event-driven programming, PHP, Node.js, React.js, React Native, HTML5, REST/SOAP APIs), and modern development methodologies (Lean, Agile, SAFe, DevOps, CI/CD).Awareness of emerging technology trends and ability to assess applicability of IoT, computer vision, AR/VR, and similar innovations for consumer and customer use cases.
- Strong ability to translate business strategies into technology strategies.
- Excellent presentation skills for engaging executive leadership.
- Demonstrated capability to apply conceptual, logical, and physical architecture principles effectively.
- Systems-thinking mindset with a clear understanding of interdependencies among various systems.
