Overview

The Finance Manager works with cross-functional partners to manage a $100MM+ gross customer portfolio for Quaker Foods – including Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Aldi, Lidl, Walgreens, and CVS – to deliver profit and share growth. The Finance Manager provides financial support for the customer team, focusing on net revenue growth through trade spend efficiency and mix management.

Responsibilities

Business Results:

  • Partner with Sales and Category Management to drive net revenue, profit, and share, while ensuring the integrity of customer plans and business goals.

  • Analyze trade spend and net revenue performance versus Plan and Forecast, leading reporting, managing models, and developing tools as needed.

  • Evaluate the financial impact of promotional events such as Must Buys, Power of One, Temporary Displays, Store Contests, Coupons, etc.

  • Effectively manage trade accruals and claims processing to minimize over- and under-accruals on trade spend (throughout the year and at year-end).

  • Utilize internal and external data to optimize the profitability of promotional events and identify investment opportunities to maximize return on trade spend.

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day deliverables of associate(s).

Net Revenue Forecast & Annual Operating Plan:

  • Develop gross, trade, and net forecasts by working closely with National Account Managers and, in the future, Demand Planners.

  • Review forecasts with Customer Finance and Sales Leadership during Period Operating Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews.

  • Manage promotional events within SAP TPM to ensure accurate trade accrual forecasting.

  • Lead the AOP planning process for Dollar, Drug, and Hard Discount customers.

  • Evaluate and assess key strategic initiatives to support customer growth plans.

  • Assist Sales with customer growth summits, reviews, joint business planning sessions, and contract builds.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $93,500 - $156,450.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, MBA preferred
  • 4+ years in Financial or Business Analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to quickly identify business problems and generate solutions.
  • Ability to challenge and positively influence all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Aptitude to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Base knowledge of PGT (SAP), Business Objects, and Power BI; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
