Overview

PepsiCo is looking for a Network Automation Engineer with strong automation and scripting expertise to drive BAU network operations through automation. The role focuses on converting network SOPs and manual processes into automated solutions, while working closely with network and platform teams to support enterprise and cloud environments.

This position emphasizes automation first, with solid foundational network knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Automate BAU network operations to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
  • Convert network SOPs and operational runbooks into Ansible playbooks, Python scripts, and automated workflows.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to identify automation opportunities and drive operational efficiency.
  • Develop, test, and maintain automation for configuration, validation, compliance, and remediation.
  • Support enterprise networking environments (routing, switching, SD‑WAN, cloud connectivity).
  • Integrate automation with monitoring, APIs, and operational tools.
  • Troubleshoot network and automation issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of total experience in network engineering and automation roles.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with network automation, especially:
    • Ansible
    • Python
    • APIs and scripting frameworks
  • Good understanding of network fundamentals:
    • Routing & switching concepts ( Lan, Wlan, Wan , TCP/IP, BGP ,PaloAlto, Infoblox & Zscaler )
    • Basic SD‑WAN and DCI concepts
  • Experience working with enterprise network environments (Cisco or multi‑vendor).
  • Exposure to cloud networking (Azure or AWS preferred).
  • Ability to work with technical teams to translate operational processes into code.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Cisco DNAC, SD‑WAN, NDFC, F5
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, or infrastructure‑as‑code concepts
  • Knowledge of F5 or Palo Alto platforms
