Job Overview:-
Lead the development and delivery of key strategic initiatives for the ANZ business. This includes framing complex problems, generating actionable insights, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring strategies translate into practical outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesThis role will be primarily focused on supporting strategic priorities for the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) business, while collaborating closely with global strategy teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership & Problem Solving
- Lead the structuring of complex, ambiguous business problems into clear hypotheses and workplans.
- Identify key value drivers, risks, and trade-offs to inform strategic choices.
- Develop perspectives on growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and business performance.
- Lead the end-to-end development of the ANZ 3–5 year strategic plan, including defining the strategic agenda, aligning senior stakeholders, and translating priorities into a clear, actionable roadmap.
End-to-End Project Ownership
- Own and deliver discrete strategic projects or workstreams from scoping through to execution.
- Manage timelines, stakeholder alignment, and quality of outputs.
- Proactively identify risks and adjust approach to ensure successful delivery.
Insight Development & Decision Support
- Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform strategic recommendations.
- Develop practical strategic and financial frameworks to evaluate opportunities.
- Synthesize findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for decision-making.
- Develop and own executive-ready materials distilling complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
- Partner with cross-functional leaders across Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders (Director/GM level), including constructively challenging perspectives.
- Support and contribute to executive-level forums with clear and compelling materials.
Strategy Execution & Impact
- Translate strategic priorities into pragmatic execution plans with defined actions and ownership.
- Support implementation of key initiatives to ensure delivery of intended outcomes.
- Track progress and help course-correct where required.
Market & External Perspective
- Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitor activity.
- Bring external perspectives and best practices to inform strategic thinking.
Experience & Qualifications
6–10 years’ experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field.
- Experience in FMCG/CPG or other consumer-led industries preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent advantageous.
Capabilities
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure and simplify complex issues.
- Advanced analytical capability and comfort working with data to generate insights.
- Clear and concise communication, including experience preparing executive-level materials.
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions and seniority levels.
