ResponsibilitiesThe Opportunity
Responsible for Packaging Research & Development for the Biscuits category at PepsiCo Mexico Foods. Accountable for the creation, development, and execution of packaging material proposals for the Biscuits category. Additionally, this role will participate in the automation agenda supporting Supply Chain Transformation initiatives across manufacturing plants. The position will lead design, performance, and new product strategies, ensuring product protection and shelf life from manufacturing through commercialization for innovation, renovation, and productivity projects.
Your Impact
As an R&D Packaging Analyst (Temporary - 12 months), your responsibilities will include:
- Launch and development of new products for innovation initiatives, platform management, and line extensions.
- Identification of functional material properties and development of new analytical evaluation techniques.
- Identification of continuous improvement opportunities in packaging materials, equipment, and products, ensuring consumer preference and design compliance.
- Ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements to support product commercialization across different markets.
- Guaranteeing consistency, quality, and flawless manufacturing execution.
- Providing technical support to co-packers involved in PepsiCo manufacturing processes.
- Preparing technical reports and strategic recommendations for innovation and productivity projects.
- Defining, developing, and approving packaging material suppliers, ensuring material consistency, performance properties, and productivity targets.
- Generating innovation projects for both existing processes and products, as well as new product launches.
- Proposing innovative technologies and equipment within the industry to drive new product development.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in similar roles or within the industry.
- Fluent English (C1/C2 level).
- Willingness to travel.
