Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Coach at High Point contributes to the success of PepsiCo by directing the manufacturing captains and team members to achieve high standards of safety, food safety, productivity, cost, waste, and line efficiencies. You will lead a cross functional team to raise the bar on innovation, passion, authenticity, community and teamwork to meet production performance standards and customer needs.

  • Develops and leads a departmental team to create day-to-day operational action plans to reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Delivers effective coaching to drive business changes and develop team members to maintain an open community where feedback is cherished.
  • Motivates team members to achieve team goals by having a regular presence on the plant floor and regular 1-1's with captains.
  • Applies knowledge of Run to Target (RTT) or TPM processes, equipment and system capability to enhance productivity and savings.
  • Ensures team members are managing end of line transfers to the automated guided vehicles
  • Sets and achieves the highest safety, food safety and quality standards while delivering maximum productivity.
  • Tracks key performance indicators/costs, anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets
  • Holds Reliability team accountable to planning preventative equipment scheduling to minimize downtime
  • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for hourly team members
  • Ensures compliance with all environmental, health & safety regulations
  • Communicates policies and procedures and ensures team members are aligned and accountable for them.
  • This role may operate manufacturing equipment occasionally
  • This role requires you to work off-shift and weekend work

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,900 - $111,950.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in engineering, supply chain, operations management, or similar field.
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills - Proven front-line supervisory skills and ability to coach a team through business changes and make decisions thoughtfully
  • A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, validated by your successful completion of a major improvement project.
  • Demonstrated planning and organization skills
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the work site
  • You will have a regular presence on the plant floor
  • You are able to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
  • Some work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • This role may operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally
