The Team

The North America Insights & Intelligence (NAI&I) team drive a human-centric and integrated Power of One (PO1) approach to insights and intelligence across our North America Commercial and Consumer organizations, to drive market-leading growth for PepsiCo. The team provides deep Food & Beverage expertise across Shopper Analytics & Insights, Consumer Insights, Commercial Intelligence and Category Leadership to build best-in-class capabilities and offer focused programs to drive growth with our customers.

This role sits within PepsiCo’s Kroger Analytics & Growth Resource (KAGR) team—a dedicated, best‑in‑class analytics and insights function focused on driving incremental, consistent, and sustainable growth for both PepsiCo and Kroger.

The KAGR team leverages rich shopper data, advanced analytics, and strategic insight to support Joint Business Planning (JBP), identify future demand opportunities, and strengthen PepsiCo’s partnership with Kroger in collaboration with 84.51°.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do & How You’ll Make an Impact

As Manager, Shopper Analytics & Strategy – Kroger, you will translate complex shopper and retail data into clear, actionable insights that shape commercial, merchandising, and growth decisions for one of PepsiCo’s most critical retail partners.

In this role, you will lead defined components of the Kroger shopper analytics and insights agenda, ensuring shopper‑centric thinking is embedded across strategy, execution, and Joint Business Planning initiatives.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead defined workstreams within the Kroger shopper analytics and insights agenda, aligned to Joint Business Planning and customer growth priorities
  • Leverage shopper, POS, syndicated, clickstream, and proprietary data to generate actionable insights that drive growth, share, and customer partnership
  • Analyze shopper behavior, category performance, and demand trends to inform assortment, merchandising, innovation, and sales strategy
  • Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling insights and storytelling for internal stakeholders and Kroger partners
  • Apply advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI‑enabled tools to support opportunity forecasting, white‑space identification, and merchandising optimization
  • Support Joint Business Planning (JBP) through data‑driven recommendations and forward‑looking analytics
  • Partner closely with Sales, Category Leadership, RGM, and 84.51° to ensure insights are integrated into decision‑making
  • Monitor performance and in‑market results, applying learnings to continuous optimization and future planning
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with strong project and stakeholder management

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

What Will Make You Successful

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5+ years of experience in shopper insights, analytics, customer strategy, or related roles
  • Strong analytical foundation with experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Ability to translate data into clear business implications and recommendations
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional partners
  • Comfort working in a highly matrixed environment across internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Kroger data and/or 84.51° Collaborative Cloud
  • Proficiency in analytics and data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, PySpark, or similar)
  • Experience applying advanced analytics or data science techniques in a business context
  • Understanding of CPG, retail, and shopper behavior
  • Curiosity and working knowledge of emerging analytics and AI tools, with sound judgment on application
