ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will supervises the activities of a group of skilled and semi-skilled employees engaged in performing a variety of production or assembly operations. Responsible for the training of controllers and some supervisors. Normally reports to Unit HOD.

- Controlled product & production processes
- Optimise people, plant, machinery and equipment to improve efficienciesControlled raw material stock levels
- Ensured safety, health & hygiene
- Manage a team
- 5 years managerial experience within the manufacturing / operations environment in FMCG industry
- Computer skills including SAP and MS Office
- HACCP, GMP's, health, safety and hygiene compliance
- Degree / National Diploma in Production / Operations Management or Engineering
- Leadership skills
- Sound understanding and application of safety, health & hygiene in a production environment
- Sound understanding of controlled Food manufacturing production processes
- Completed a Production / Operations related Degree / Diploma
- Sound understanding of application of preventative maintenance principles/practices
- Experience to optimise people, plant, machinery and equipment
- Management of a team
- Experience in structured stock take and sycle counts including backflushing and adhering to BOM's
- Experience in planning staff and materials to achieve production targets as per budget
- Experience and exposure to production efficiency in a highly pressurised environment with tight deadlines
- Experience to optimised raw material stock levels in FMCG environment
- Implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency
