The PhilMAPS and North Asia Supply Chain Director leads strategic initiatives to ensure compliance with Quality and Food Safety Standards across Beverage JVs in the Philippines, Malaysia, North Asia, and FOBO markets. This role drives the delivery of new launches, commercialization, productivity, and sustainability plans, while spearheading the Supply Chain and manufacturing capability-building agenda for bottlers. It involves close collaboration with PepsiCo BU cross-functional teams and leveraging sector and global networks for problem-solving and transferring PepsiCo Best Practices.
Additionally, the position is accountable for advancing the PEP+ Sustainability agenda, including achieving WWP PEP+ goals, to enable long-term business growth and system resilience.
ResponsibilitiesThis role provides strategic leadership across Beverage Joint Ventures (JVs) and Franchise-Owned Business Operations (FOBO) in the PhilMAPS and North Asia markets. The Director is responsible for shaping and driving the end to end Supply Chain agenda, ensuring full compliance with PepsiCo standards, and enabling long term business growth through Capability Building, Quality and Food Safety Excellence, Productivity, Sustainability, and Commercialization initiatives.
Operating at a BU level, this position influences multiple geographies, partners closely with senior leadership, and leverages global best practices to deliver the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and strategic business priorities.
Strategic Leadership & System Capability Development
- Provide strong, strategic, and visible leadership across the PhilMAPS and North Asia supply chain network, shaping the long term supply chain and operational capability roadmap for JVs and bottlers.
- Role model PepsiCo Values, Leadership Behaviors, and the Code of Conduct, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead enterprise wide capability building through structured development programs in Quality & Food Safety, Productivity, Sustainability, and Performance driven initiatives.
- Coach and develop direct reports while building broader talent pipelines across JVs, bottlers, and the regional supply chain.
- Guide and mentor JV/Bottler Operations, Sustainability Leads and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective execution of Supply Chain agenda.
- Elevate operational maturity by ensuring consistent deployment, reinforcement, and adoption of capability building programs across all markets.
Quality and Food Safety Compliance:
- Ensure JV and FOBO bottling operations comply with all mandatory PepsiCo Quality and Food Safety requirements, protecting product quality, integrity, and trademark reputation.
Sustainability Leadership:
- Lead development, execution, and governance of the AOP and PEP+ sustainability agenda, including WWP PEP+ goals ensuring delivery of annual targets and long term commitments.
- Align sustainability priorities with JV/Bottler Sustainability Leads, Operations, and GP Leadership to ensure cohesive execution across all markets.
- Establish and oversee RECON training programs and capability building initiatives to elevate sustainability competencies across PepsiCo and its partner system.
- Collaborate with the Sector Sustainability Office to develop and cascade BU sustainability scorecards, action plans, and performance improvement tools.
- Provide coaching, guidance and mentorship to JV/Bottler Sustainability Leads and Supply Chain leadership teams to ensure consistent and high quality execution of sustainability initiatives across all sites.
Concentrate Management
- Support JVs, bottlers, and PGCS through robust S&OP processes, partnering closely with finance and franchise teams to ensure accurate planning, concentrate availability, and proactive management of any demand surges.
Best Practice Deployment & Operational Excellence
- Partner with Sector and BU functional SMEs to deploy operational best practices across all JVs and FOBO bottlers.
- Drive adoption and continuous improvement of PepsiCo Best Practice Tools (BPT) through structured implementation, reviews, audits, and capability reinforcement.
- Support bottlers in embedding standardized operating frameworks that enhance operational effectiveness, efficiency, and manufacturing discipline.
Performance Management
- Conduct regular performance reviews with bottlers and BU leadership to ensure issues are identified early, escalated appropriately, and resolved promptly.
- Lead cross functional collaboration required to deliver AOP commitments and key strategic business priorities across multiple geographies.
Capacity Expansion & Capital Projects
- Lead capacity expansion and capital expenditure projects from the PepsiCo BU Supply Chain perspective.
- Partner with JVs, bottlers, and BU/Sector teams to ensure successful, compliant, and on time delivery of new infrastructure investments and production capabilities.
Innovations, Qualifications & Commercialization
- Lead execution of new package and product initiatives with bottlers, co manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Provide technical leadership for line qualifications of new products and packages to ensure incremental AOP volumes are delivered.
- Ensure all primary packaging materials and ingredients are sourced from approved suppliers and lead qualification of local vendors when needed.
- Build strong packaging supplier capability with appropriate capacity, quality standards, and cost structures while ensuring compliance with BPT and product integrity requirements.
Global & Regulatory Alignment
- Support the BU SC Operations Lead in engaging with BU and Sector teams on global initiatives and strategic programs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements across markets and lead the review of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
- Ensure robust BCPs and risk mitigation frameworks are in place to strengthen operational resilience and operational readiness.
Key Skills/Experience Required (Mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or supply chain operations, preferably across multiple markets or regions.
- Lean Six Sigma expertise with proven delivery of cross functional, large scale improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated capability to lead multiple, high complexity projects and drive strategic priorities across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence with proven ability to influence senior leadership, JVs, bottlers, and cross functional partners.
- Deep working knowledge of quality systems, finance, capital planning, cost forecasting, economic justification, SPC, and integrated manufacturing systems.
- Experience leading TPM or large-scale operational excellence programs across multiple plants or organizations.
- Demonstrated change leader with strong external orientation and the ability to drive sustainable transformation.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with capability to influence at all levels.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to lead through ambiguity and high impact situations.
- Strong leadership track record, including coaching senior teams, building organizational capability, and developing regional talent pipelines.
