Join our team at the Tolleson Mixing Center as a Transportation Coordinator, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring seamless logistics operations and driving efficiency across our supply chain.In this high-impact role, you will take ownership of all transportation activities at the site, working closely with our third-party logistics (3PL) partner to ensure smooth execution and strong collaboration. You’ll be at the center of transportation scheduling, helping keep operations running efficiently and on track every day.

As a Warehouse Transportation Coordinator, you will contribute to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and strong 3PL partnerships, while supporting all aspects of inbound and outbound dock scheduling. Your work will be critical in maintaining flow, minimizing disruptions, and enabling overall site performance.

Responsibilities

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may require after-hours/weekend support as needed)

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead communication with all transport carriers, utilizing high level planning and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Solve day-to-day transportation challenges while maintaining & exceeding KPIs with scheduling.

3PL & Operational Excellence

  • Partner with 3PL on dock scheduling of all inbound and outbound finished good and material loads, implementation of the dock schedule and execution of the dock schedule.
  • Drive improvements in dock performance by providing a strategic dock schedule.

Inventory & Process Management

  • Leverage WMS Red Prairie, SAP and Spotlight Optimization tools to enhance scheduling and product availability.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies, including safety, transportation, accounting, and purchasing.
  • Support the ongoing implementation of e80 Automation, including final acceptance training and system driven modifications to daily dock scheduling.
  • Prepare for and adapt processes for PGT and Blue Yonder system implementation in P11 2026.

Customer Service & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Ensure on-time delivery aligned with Requested/Scheduled Arrival Dates to support outbound customer demand.
  • Build strong relationships across the Power of One network, including PBC bottlers, Co-Packers, Repackers, PBNA COE’s, and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational issues and deliver exceptional customer service.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee all transportation responsibilities for the Tolleson Mixing Center in Tolleson, AZ.
  • Route orders daily in compliance with the transportation route guide, ensuring timely execution to meet the requested ship date and secure carrier capacity ahead of the competition.
  • Track carrier performance and troubleshoot any loads that may be at risk of missing requested arrival date.
  • Ensure all new orders comply with PepsiCo guidelines on weight and method of shipment.
  • Work with carriers to schedule all assigned outbound and inbound shipments to/from our facility.
  • Work with all carriers on daily execution.
  • Monitor and maintain proper trailer pool for multiple carriers daily.
  • Quickly adapt to volatility in the transport market due to driver availability, rising fuel prices, weather, etc.
  • Work with 3PL Management, Supervisors, Leads, Welcome Center Associates and Operators to deliver daily and weekly measurables.
  • Work with COE (Center of Excellence) and Service Team on scheduling issues.
  • Work with COE, Warehouse and Transportation on loads not scheduled by end of period.
  • Maintain reason code input within SAP for open order status reporting.
  • Review previous day’s dock schedule to ensure all orders are shipped; if not, ensure timely reschedule.
  • Collaborate with the Shipping Office regarding specific shipment requirements ex: LTLs, sample orders, innovation.
  • Accountable for compliance to the Past Due Inbound Report and Shipment Status Report.
  • Ownership of daily, weekly and period service metrics as they relate to the role.
  • Will be cross trained to support two other distribution centers as well as other service center functions.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,900 - $73,250.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a results-driven leader with a passion for operations and innovation. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain preferred.
  • Experience: One to two years of experience in transportation or logistical operations.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, influence across functions, and drive results in a fast-paced environment while leading with a mindset to exceed all Objectives/Metrics.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with WMS, SAP, transportation systems, and labor management systems. Familiarity with EDI a plus.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities. Self-starter.
  • Communication: Excellent cross functional collaboration, team building skills, and the ability to influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable working in unstructured environments and making quick, informed decisions.
  • Travel: Occasional travel required (less than 10%).
