The Central EU Cluster DX/Commercial Lead is accountable for end‑to‑end commercial value creation across the Cluster, driving accelerated, sustainable, profitable growth by integrating Demand Acceleration, Perfect Store Excellence, Trade Marketing, Category Leadership and Revenue Growth Management (RGM).
As a core member of the Cluster Leadership Team, the role is accountable for ensuring portfolio and channel growth is strategically aligned, flawlessly executed, and financially sound.
The role balances builder mindset and execution rigor, shaping new commercial capabilities while embedding PepsiCo-Sodastream enterprise-wide standards, governance and scalability.
ResponsibilitiesKey Accountabilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Demand Acceleration
- Define and own the commercial and demand acceleration strategy across the full portfolio eco system, off & online.
- Drive shopper‑led growth strategies focused on household acquisition, penetration, repeat and lifetime value.
- Ensure ecosystem thinking (vs. single‑SKU execution) to maximize long‑term value creation.
- Translate consumer, shopper and usage insights into scalable commercial initiatives.
- Lead the development of the AOP strategic levers for the clusters
2. Perfect Store & Execution Excellence
- Own the Perfect Store vision and standards across physical retail and digital environments.
- Ensure flawless execution across visibility, education‑led selling, merchandising and availability.
- Establish execution scorecards, routines and governance to systematically close gaps.
- Champion execution excellence as a competitive advantage.
3. Trade Marketing
- Own Category Leadership across all key customers and channels.
- Lead Trade Marketing strategy, including:
- Innovation and launch excellence
- Seasonal and occasion‑based activation
- Bespoke retailer and channel plans
- Ensure activation strategies are value‑driven, shopper‑relevant and scalable.
4. Revenue Growth Management & Commercial Governance
- Act as owner of RGM, embedding pricing, promotion and trade investment discipline.
- Steward pricing strategy, competitiveness, elasticity and price realization.
- Define and enforce promotion guardrails, mechanics, depth and frequency.
- Own trade investment effectiveness, value realization and leakage prevention.
- Serve as guardian of commercial discipline, decision rights and escalation paths.
5. Performance Management & Value Realization
- Own Cluster‑level commercial tracking and performance management.
- Partner with Finance to ensure financial rigor, transparency and ROI accountability.
- Lead risk and opportunity identification, driving corrective actions when off‑plan.
- Embed closed‑loop learning across promotions, activation and execution.
6. Leadership, Capability Building & Ways of Working
- Lead and develop high‑performing commercial excellence capabilities across the Cluster.
- Partner in close collaboration with the commercial HQ team. Ensure adherence to define strategies, principles, processes and governance while localizing where appropriate within the frameworks.
- Coach leaders in Demand Acceleration and RGM.
- Build foundational processes, governance and ways of working where gaps exist.
- Operate effectively in a matrixed environment, influencing without direct authority.
- Role model enterprise leadership, courage and collaboration.
Critical Experience & Capabilities
- Senior commercial leadership experience (typically 12+ years) in FMCG
- Proven ownership of Demand Acceleration, Commercial Excellence, Trade Marketing, Category Management and/or RGM
- Strong commercial and financial acumen (pricing, promotions, trade investment)
- Deep understanding of Perfect Store, retail execution and shopper conversion
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through ambiguity
