Overview

Reliability Engineer

Maximise Technical Availability and Asset Reliability across all production lines by effectively leading, promoting and introducing analytical problem solving techniques to maximise the overall asset effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the site Asset Reliability program. Own and develop the site Major Incident Report (MIR), Analytical Problem Solving, (APS) Root Cause Analysis (RCA) systems, be the “gatekeeper” for effective closure ensuring all relevant improvements are coordinated via appropriate teams.
  • Embed asset reliability into the sites maintenance strategy and ensure plans are in place to deliver the long term improvement agenda, unplanned downtime is effectively reduced and repeat failures are eliminated through reliability processes.
  • Manage the site Condition Monitoring & Lubrication function on route to “zero (planned) maintenance time concept” – this will drive an increase in technical availability
  • Support the planning of any failure related ‘corrective’ / ‘preventative / RCA’ work – Use design out methods (DOM) to manage OEM & new investment.
  • Formal evaluation loop - Use CMMS system to deliver accurate analytical data, identify areas for improvements ensuring failures are averted – Top 10 (Frequency, cost & downtime)/ Pareto analysis/ Cost summary reports and effective data analysis to identify ‘hot spot’ areas.
  • Use cost summary details to highlight ‘Hot Spot’ areas dependant on P/Kg & CARV measures – by line, by area. Drive plans to resolve Top 3 issues / period
  • Support the Maintenance Coordinator to deliver Manufacturing Equipment Excellence through ‘Excellence in Execution’ Ensuring all PM’s are value driven, cost effective and site has the technical capability (Right skills, right task, right place). Drive value from the PM system. Promote a ‘Less Is More’ culture in preventative maintenance and drive low cost reliability improvements.
  • Accountable for the site criticality programme. Integrate RCM protocols to ensure the most cost effective maintenance requirements on critical equipment are implemented and reviewed through a systematic review of existing maintenance (REM) process (Review RCM).
  • Backup maintenance supervisor to improve organization skills and increase the site knowledge (and support in holidays season)
