Overview

The Senior Analyst – Sustainability Governance & Controls will help shape how we collect, manage, and report nonfinancial / ESG information in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

This role sits at the intersection of sustainability, controls, and data, supporting the rollout and continuous improvement of our processes, controls, and the Integrated Governance Framework (IGF), ensuring that ESG information is accurate, wellcontrolled, and ready for external assurance.

To achieve this, you will partner closely with Sustainability, Control, Finance, Procurement, IT, and more. The output of your work will be highquality ESG reporting for use in regulatory filing and to support for our pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) agenda.

Responsibilities

Governance Framework & Controls

  • Support the adoption, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Integrated Governance Framework (IGF), ensuring sustainability reporting processes and controls are aligned with evolving regulatory and assurance requirements;
  • Assist in implementation of new ESG controls across business functions and systems and track remediation of gaps or audit findings, including actions stemming from internal or external reviews (e.g., regulatory process audits);
  • Assist Control Owners in monitoring of performance of implemented ESG Controls (e.g., Scope 1 & 2);
  • Support internal and external assurance by providing supporting documentation requested by auditors.

Data Management, Systems & Reporting

  • Assist those tasked with managing, tracking, and validating sustainability data to support accurate, timely, and auditable ESG reporting, including nonfinancial data used for external disclosures and internal performance management;
  • Support testing and implementation of data sourcing solutions for nonfinancial data in partnership with global and region teams, including tools such as myEHS, the Enterprise Data Foundation (EDF), and other ESGrelated systems;
  • Enable transparent, reliable reporting by helping ensure data is wellcontrolled, properly documented, and aligned with internal policies and external ESG frameworks.

Regulatory, ESG Frameworks Tracking

  • Stay current on ESG reporting standards and frameworks (such as CSRD, IFRS S1 & S2, GRI, TCFD, and emerging regulations) and support their practical application in reporting processes and templates.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

  • Support change management activities (communication, training, and documentation) to integrate ESG governance and data practices into core business processes and prevent duplication of effort;
  • Build ESG capabilities across functions by developing practical materials, guidance, and engagement sessions that deepen understanding of ESG reporting requirements and controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Sustainability, Business, Communications, Engineering or a related field;
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
    • ESG/sustainability reporting, accounting/finance, controls/internal audit, data management, performance management, or regulatory/compliance roles.
  • Experience within a large, matrixed organization or region/operating unit (OU) environments is a strong plus;
  • Understanding of sustainability/ESG accounting and reporting;
  • Experience with process, systems, and controls:
    • Analyzing business processes and associated risks.
    • Identifying, designing, and supporting implementation of controls.
    • Exposure to governance frameworks and assurance/ audit expectations (financial or nonfinancial).
    • Experience with tools like myEHS or similar EHS/ESG systems is highly desirable.
    • Comfort with data and technology, including:
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for data validation and reconciliation;
  • Demonstrated crossfunctional collaboration, with the ability to partner effectively with Control, Finance, Sustainability, IT, D&A, and business functions to drive adoption of new processes and solutions;
  • Program and change management experience (or demonstrated aptitude), including coordinating complex initiatives, managing multiple stakeholders, and tracking delivery against milestones;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with proven ability to distill complex concepts into clear, concise, and compelling messages for stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
