ResponsibilitiesWhat we’re looking for:
- Lead media transformation that drives significant strategic value and impact, rooted in E2E human connections and focused on audience-first within brand and portfolio planning.
- Facilitate cross functional collaboration between privacy office, legal, commercial, Ecomm & shopper teams to ahieve e2e media strategy while remaining PepsiCo compliant.
- Lead Personalisation at scale and consumer data to create better targeting and customised messages for better experiences through every touchpoint
- Embed Growth Navigator framework into media best practices
- Entrench BBI principles to enable media effectiveness
- Co-create best-in-class capabilities with agency partners that build PepsiCo’s pull muscle across the media value chain and enable their best expertise.
- Integrate data, reporting and tech for agile data-driven marketing/personalization in service of our media ambitions, and reflective of the best the industry has to offer.
- Provide consistency & transparency in all deliverables & financials through standards, frameworks, and guardrails.
- Advance automated dashboarding and Real time optimisation.
- Unlock structured and incremental reinvestment opportunities through industry-leading media effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead media strategy development across all PepsiCo SA brands & key WECA brands
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with agencies to support strategic transformation and marketing initiatives.
- Manage Joint business planning with key platforms, channels and publishers in the market to unlock value and innovation
- Support the development of the AOP timetable, including the establishment of metrics for tracking campaign effectiveness and analysing return on investment (ROI).
- Lead content marketing and communication programme with digital & media team aligned to business development priorities.
- Monitor compliance of actual campaign results with planned indicators and approved brand strategies
- Development of a data strategy to increase the effectiveness of brand promotion in online channels.
- Develop media communication thought leadership to upskill marketing team.
- Develop, lead and coach SA media team.
- Build Media annual operating plans in line with brand plans and KPIs
- Evaluate, assess, and recommend the most effective media to satisfy marketing objectives & oversee the translation of these strategies into the final media recommendations/plans.
- Own A&M / media score-carding / reporting to BU and Regional teams.
- Media investment planning and allocation based on initiatives and projects approved by Director Marketing for implementation
- Manage agencies against the productivity and visibility targets and ensures a seamless digital media buying, planning and strategy across all categories.
- Partner with Insights to deliver MMM ROI and other digital media strategy relevant projects with Nielsen, Insights and Marketing teams.
- Develop and maintain long term relationships w/ internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that the audit / GCS process is properly implemented (be GCS compliant at all times)
- Ensure suppliers are selected as per the GCS process and execute their duties as expected of them.
- Ensure implementation and execution of processes in line with Internal Control guidelines (GCS)
What will qualify you for the role:
- 4 year tertiary qualification in the field of Marketing/ Commercial or Business
- 8 to 10 years in similar capacity within the Marketing and Communication industries, with at least 5 years in a Senior Management role
- Experience in managing media and digital for large scale advertiser to be able to advise on effective management of media plans.
- Strategic understanding of developing multi-media campaign mix and deciding on best spending levels on each medium/platform.
- Command over Media metrics for success including CPRP management. Reach frequency analysis for campaigns and media spend optimization models.
- Experienced in consumer first party data management with personalised targeting and direct marketing strategies
- Established relationships with key media stake holders including sales directors of platform owners
- Familiarity with the media digital media landscape, and exposure to global media platforms
- Understanding of media planning tools.
- Evidence of participation in ongoing professional development opportunities
- Recent hands-on experience managing agency partners, leading pitch processes, negotiating fees and SOW, overseeing agency reviews.
- Ability to present information concisely and accurately, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Solution and result oriented; analytical thinker.
- Experience working with media agencies and publishers to run media campaigns at market level.
- Experience working with technical teams on media initiatives
- Managing web content and design, SEO, media relations, PR, and trade show schedules and deliverables.
- Developing an innovative brand strategy involving content marketing, industry events, and partner marketing to grow awareness and engagement.
- Guiding content marketing strategy and supported creation of innovative media content partnerships to amplify reach and drive customer engagement.
