Overview

The Strategic Grocery Finance Analyst (L6) is a key finance partner within the PFUS Retail & Warehouse Sales Finance team, reporting into the PFUS Retail & Warehouse Sales Commercial Finance Director. This role will support the Strategic Grocery Sales VP and will partner cross-functionally with the sales and sales finance leads supporting Strategic Grocery accounts including Albertsons, Ahold Delhaize, Publix, HEB, Meijer, and Hy-Vee.

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for consolidating reporting and supporting promotional optimization across Strategic Grocery accounts. This includes supporting the calendar review process for Strategic Grocery accounts, ensuring adherence to PFUS pricing governance and implementation of promotional insights provided by the RGM team. In addition, the analyst will support Customer Finance ROI / Strategic Investment workstreams by evaluating trade ROI across the Strategic Grocery portfolio and identifying opportunities to optimize investment choices.

Responsibilities

Calendar Reviews and Promotional Strategy Optimization

  • Support the Strategic Grocery calendar review process by preparing materials, ensuring alignment to key account calendars, and driving follow-ups that improve out-period calendars through clear action plans.
  • Ensure calendars adhere to PFUS promo guidance and pricing governance (architecture, promo structures, ARP) and develop centralized view of Strategic Grocery price/margin exceptions through the established Pricing Council process.
  • Partner with RGM team, Pricing team and customer teams to embed insights into calendar builds (e.g., Power Pairs, Best Weeks, Post Event Analytics/PEA) and confirm insights are reflected in review materials and follow-up actions.
  • Partner with Sales and Sales Finance leads to summarize the financial impact of proposed calendar adjustments (trade, net revenue, mix/NRR) and document decisions and next steps.
  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot to develop AI-enabled insights to deepen the integration of RGM insights into customer calendars.

Strategic Grocery Consolidated Reporting

  • Own Strategic Grocery consolidation by building the total Strategic Grocery rollup for leadership reporting and coordinating inputs and commentary across account and regional leads.
  • Coordinate forecast rollups and periodic / quarterly deliverables (including ADUSA and Total Strategic Grocery PFUS consolidation) to support QBP-ready views and leadership narratives.
  • Maintain the reporting calendar, trackers, and dependency management needed to deliver accurate, on-time Strategic Grocery reporting with minimal handoffs.

Strategic Investment / Customer Segmentation

  • Support Strategic Grocery Finance ROI / Strategic Investment workstreams by evaluating trade ROI across the Strategic Grocery portfolio and identifying opportunities to optimize investment choices.
  • Support PFUS customer segmentation analysis by maintaining customer-level profitability and investment views (inclusive of Direct Customer Investment) for Strategic Grocery and linking outcomes to growth/share KPIs to inform segment placement.
  • Compile and analyze investment mix (e.g., trade/off-ticket, space funding, shopper marketing, data, equipment) and support recommendations to refine, reallocate, or transform investments by customer.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,900 - $111,950.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into clear so-what’s.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a solutions-oriented problem-solver.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment and gain the cooperation of individuals across the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Copilot with the ability to quickly learn various in-house software applications.
