We are looking for an experienced (Senior) Product Compliance Expert to join our Compliance Center of Excellence for Germany and take ownership of product compliance for your specified country. The Product Compliance Expert needs to be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in terms of the product they are responsible for, fostering a strong relationship with product teams as well as customer-facing teams, being at the intersection between compliance and product.

This position will work closely with other Compliance SMEs, Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, Growth, and Sales within Personio to drive success.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
  • Research new and existing local legal requirements in the HR, Time & Absence space and provide detailed information on the same to the relevant internal teams

  • Connect legal/compliance requirements to existing product features of Personio and benchmark those against the existing product roadmap

  • Discover and research industry best practices and impact, also looking at Personio competitors

  • Describe the local compliance asks Personio is trying to solve for clearly

  • Support Personio Product Managers in defining acceptance criteria as well as verification of the same

  • Proactively anticipate future legislative changes where possible and identify which impact those will have on Personio

  • Coordinate cross functionally by helping teams finding and accessing compliance information in a structured manner

  • Support in sourcing external compliance knowledge

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
  • At least 6-7 years of experience working in HR & Time Management / Attendance / Absence compliance teams

  • Experience working with product and engineering teams

  • Experience working in a complex compliance-heavy area using analytical problem-solving skills to make decisions

  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership; ability to work collaboratively in a result-oriented way

  • Nice to have: Experience in a SaaS environment of a B2B or B2C multi-product international company

  • Native or fluent in German. Advanced English skills.
