A day in the life

Prologis Energy is building a next-generation energy and electrification business within the world’s leading logistics real estate platform. This role will help architect and scale the business by leading energy analytics, data-driven insights, and AI integration while partnering closely with innovation and development teams. The position operates in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and leverages the scale, data, and customer footprint of Prologis’ global real estate portfolio. The role is critical to unlocking value across energy assets and real estate operations, accelerating electrification solutions for customers, and embedding intelligence into business operations and product development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead market intelligence and analytics efforts to identify scalable energy and electrification opportunities across Prologis’ portfolio.

  • Develop and maintain analytics models that evaluate market risk, opportunity value, interconnection dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Drive data-informed underwriting, pricing, and structuring of distributed energy and infrastructure investments.

  • Build scalable dashboards, KPIs, and predictive analytics capabilities to optimize operational and portfolio performance.

  • Provide cost/benefit analytics support to front-end engineering & development teams during value engineering stages to help optimize economic performance.

  • Identify asset-level revenue optimization opportunities (e.g., new rate opportunities, load shaping, ancillary services, cost saving, where applicable).

  • Define and execute a pragmatic AI and machine learning roadmap focused on business value, operational efficiency, and asset optimization.

  • Champion embedded AI/ML integration within hardware and software vendor product roadmaps from virtual power plant orchestration, site-level energy management systems, and automation.

  • Partner cross-functionally with technology, development, customer solutions, and innovation teams to scale new energy products and capabilities.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on energy strategy, electrification trends, and innovation priorities.

Building blocks for success

Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in energy markets, analytics, strategy, or energy technology.

  • Strong understanding of distributed energy technologies and commercial or industrial energy applications.

  • Experience building analytics capabilities, forecasting tools, or data products.

  • Experience applying AI and machine learning solutions within energy systems or infrastructure environments.

  • Ability to operate across strategy, analytics, and execution in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in high-growth startup environments within larger matrix organizations.

  • Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Hiring Salary Range of: $157,600 - $216.700. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI (Long Term Incentives) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
