Your Talent

  • Education:Design related degree or the equivalent industry experience.
  • Professional: Functional: 5 years plus proven experience in a design roll. Experience from the Footwear sporting goods industry / Graphic Design / Fashion Industry would be an advantage.
  • Skils: Excellent computer skills required in Illustrator , Photoshop , 3D programns (nice to have), MS office (Power Point)
  • Laungage : Fluent in either Japanese and English is ideal
    Good written and spoken in both Japanese and English is acceptable

Your Mission

To assist Japan Creation Center in designing a profitable Footwear collection for the Japanese region. To work closely with Senior Footwear designer Support Head of Design and Creative in developing design directions and products that complement the International collection and satisfy the regional needs whilst ensuring all products are target consumer and brand relevant, while considering the differences in seasonality, culture, sports, regional trends etc. To be working closely with Senior FTW designer within the RCC team.

Work in close collaboration with Product Developer & Product Line Managers & Merchendize team & Sales Team to design the footwear range as set out by the FTW design briefs & directions of the company. Being flexible on working on Collaborative projects with external parties. Also working on graphics for the Apparel business when nessesary.

  • Design: Design concepts, ranges and products for the Regional Footwear collection based on line list input from Product Line Manager (PLM) and in cooperation with Regional Merchandising Manager, Apparel (RMM). This includes newly Line Creation ranges as well as the Line Extensions and color up SMU / National Regional products (NRP). Own the creative process and support Head of Design and Creative and Senior FTW desginer to make sure that final products can meet regional needs, and also brand relevant and follow PUMA guidelines. Along side developing and creating graphic concepts and design for both Footwear and Appareal producted related projects. Late Creations: Responsible for all additional late requested product creations which were submitted via SMU DB and provide mini sheets and Tech Pack according to the requested timeline.
  • Tech Pack : Building Tech Packs (T/P) on the PUMA PAC system according international standards and working closely with Development Team and Sourcing for handover. To follow instruction from the Seniour Footwear Designer. Be accountable for achieving all tasks according to JAPAN RCC Go-To-Market (GTM) Calendar. Understand Japanese market preferences spec and function to design, and be present at the product reviews.
  • Trend Research: Gain market and consumer insight by visiting Asian(and global) key markets, trade shows, concept stores, etc., on frequent basis. Stay up to date on themes, color trends and competitors and show determination to inject innovation and newness into product design. Prepare trend reports and moodboards after market visit and for seasonal kick off meetings.
  • Communicate with accounts as needed, follow Puma's standard design guidelines while remaining flexible on irregular projects, manage time effectively, and stay updated on trends and materials to apply the best practices for each product.
  • Maintenance & Sell-in tool creation: Ensure that all minisheets and technical drawings (T/P) are updated after each regional meeting, proto- and sealing fitting and available on Creative Share.

    Assist design team during the photo shoot for the sell-in tool and back up during the preparation of the material
