- Create and maintain offline robot programs for automated welding systems (e.g., MIG/MAG).
- Develop and validate robot paths, weld sequences, tool motions, and cycle times using offline programming and simulation tools.
- Perform collision detection, reachability analysis, and workspace optimization.
- Generate robot programs compliant with OEM standards (ABB, IGM, Yaskawa, etc.).
- Define welding sequences and robot logic in coordination with product design, fixtures, and process planning.
- Integrate robots, welding equipment, fixtures, sensors, and peripherals into complete virtual cells.
- Support commissioning and ramp-up activities by transferring validated programs to on-line systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize robot programs during virtual try-out and on-site start-up.
- Ensure welding programs meet quality requirements, weld standards, and customer specifications.
- Apply safety standards and interlocks within robotic cell simulations.
- Support PFMEA, process validation, and documentation activities
- Support production as needed to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
- Use QC7 tools to investigate and analyze the root cause of the problem and ensure that effective countermeasures are implemented.
- Implement continuous improvements to achieve key performance indicators.
- Introduces activities to reduce cycle times and downtime.
- Responsible management of the entire life cycle of new projects.
- Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronical engineering, vehicle engineering or professional experience on equal level (2 years), gathered in vehicle production area
- Knowledge of welding technology and standards
- Material knowledge (weldability, raw material groups, heat input, and material behavior)
- Offline programming tools (e.g., Process Simulate, RoboDK, Delmia, RobotStudio, KUKA.Sim)
- Industrial robot programming and logic fundamentals.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD models and technical drawings.
- Practical attitude, good technical knowledge
- Good knowledge in welding and in assembly and maintenance processes
- User level knowledge of MS Office. Teamcenter knowledge is an advantage
- Analytical mindset and ability to work independently and responsibly Confident written and spoken English
