Pune in India, manufacturing multiple well known products viz. for IC Engine (passenger cars/trucks) like EGR, ETB, components for heat pumps and high-quality metallic plain bearings for vehicles and other industrial applications. The Division Power Systems in India has two manufacturing locations viz; Pune Takwe has Plant 1 manufacturing products for Thermal & Air Management, Plant 2 Bearings & Plant 3 at Supa (Ahmednagar), and is a leading supplier engine plain Bi-metal half bearings, flange bearings, thrust washers and bushes.

About the Role:

Individual Contributor role Involvement in new product industrialization.

Responsibilities:

• RFQ preparation, concept finalization, techno commercial comparison, design approval, installation & commissioning of assembly equipment’s.
• Process design & proving for assembly process including pressing, pressing, screwing, welding, manual assembly, welding, leakage testing, functional test, marking etc.
• Sourcing of equipment and other resources for new projects and continuous improvement.
• Preparing of process concept and investment estimation for new equipment.
• Preparing and updating plant layout.
• Process documentation – preparation and updating.
• Design of material provision on the production line.
• Define and execute process validation plan.
• Continuous Improvement activities such as: Reduction of cycle time/ Improve first-time quality/ Scrap cost reduction.
• Training operating engineers for setting, and changeover activities.
• Colleagues for setting and using of production equipment.
• Proto part assembly & testing with the use of minimal resources.

Qualifications:

• BE : Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile/ Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: 08-15 Years.
• Industry Preference: Auto Component Tier 1 MNC Companies.

Required Skills:

• Manufacturing engineering methodologies such as screwing, Pressing, Welding, Functional testing.
• Assembly manufacturing technologies.
• New product development as per automotive Standard.
• Understanding and design of mechatronics assembly and hydraulic assemblies used in automotive components.
• PSQ, 8D, 5 why for Problem-solving, PFMEA, Line balancing, GD&T basics.
• Core tools SPC, MSA, PPAP, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office tools at the proficient level.
• Proficient Knowledge in Q-RM software.
• Screwdriver/Press/Leak test/Flow Test Programming.
• Prototype Assembly skills.
