KSPG Automotive India Private Limited is a part of global “Power Systems Division” of the Group its headquarter is located at Takwe, Tal Maval Dist. Pune in India, manufacturing multiple well-known products viz. for IC Engine (passenger cars/trucks) like EGR, ETB, components for heat pumps and high-quality metallic plain bearings for vehicles and other industrial applications. The Division Power Systems in India has two manufacturing locations viz; Pune Takwe has Plant 1 manufacturing products for Thermal & Air Management, Plant 2 Bearings & Plant 3 at Supa (Ahmednagar), and is a leading supplier engine plain Bi-metal half bearings, flange bearings, thrust washers and bushes.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY:
- Technical interface to customer to generate RFQ and Execute Product development.
- Lead the Application team for the business development in BU Air Management.
- Support Sales and Purchase team for ball Park estimation.
- Coordinate with development center for product development.
- Manage Budget and Cost control.
- Training and enhance competencies of team.
- Support plant for timely concern resolution
- Customize & develop EGR , ITV & BPV.
- Apply knowledge of national and international emission norms.
- Review design modifications as per deviation/change requested & Perform Technical Risk assessment (if any )
- Support to sales during business acquisitions; Realization of pre-studies for quotation. Manage customer interpersonal relations
- Support FMEA & project supervision during production implementation Work in cross-functional team to resolve issues.
- Manage & on job training of Jr. Application Engineers (as applicable)
- Design to cost to meet the business objectives
- Lead the Competitor benchmarking for Cost Optimization / VAVE ideas
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Sound knowledge of ICE / Powertrain & Air management systems (Gasoline / Diesel / CNG/ H2)
- Knowledge Engine exhaust, Intake system, Engine after treatment & 5C components.
- Electric System Communication (CAN/ LIN/ PWM)
- Knowledge of latest technological trend and Indian Automotive industry.
- Sensors & Electronics: Failure Analysis
- Knowledge of Heat Transfer & Fluid dynamics and Knowledge of Engine Air Management system.
- Knowhow of Critical Problem-solving tools e.g. Shainin /DFSS or 7 QC tools ( Preferred )
- Understand & derive customer requirements / Technical Specification
- Knowledge of Product Design, Management & Development, 3D & 2D tool handling
- Good verbal / written communication skills & Presentation skills,
- Sound understanding of Indian Automotive technological trends
- Finalize DVP&R for change management of existing or new product design Project Management experience using PDP / Gate process (Preferred )
- Evaluate Customer / Application requirements & release design concepts for POC trials
- Proprietary part / Application signs off by design robustness verification
- Market Knowhow for Trend Analysis , Potential estimation & Cost
- Manufacturing process knowledge – Die casting / Injection molding / DC Motor / Sheet Metal / Solenoid
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Automobile, Mechatronics, Mechanical MBA in Technology Management (Preferred )
- Experience: 08-14 years in reputed OEM or Tier I MNC automotive in Product development / Application / Design / Project leader role.
- Travel required: 20-30 % domestic travel
