KSPG Automotive India Private Limited is a part of global “Power Systems Division” of the Group its headquarter is located at Takwe, Tal Maval Dist. Pune in India, manufacturing multiple well known products viz. for IC Engine (passenger cars/trucks) like EGR, ETB, components for heat pumps and high-quality metallic plain bearings for vehicles and other industrial applications. The Division Power Systems in India has two manufacturing locations viz; Pune Takwe has Plant 1 manufacturing products for Thermal & Air Management, Plant 2 Bearings & Plant 3 at Supa (Ahmednagar), and is a leading supplier engine plain Bi-metal half bearings, flange bearings, thrust washers and bushes.
About the Role:
Rheinmetall India, is looking for a talented and agile “Head of Industrial Relations for (3 Plants) & Plant HR Management” for (2 Plants) to join our team for our organization in Pune, with broader responsibilities as:
- Design, build, Supervise implementation (BOT) industrial relations/employee relations strategies at multiple plants and work closely with the Plant HR Management, Operations Management to facilitate maximum work output and maintain congenial industrial relations between Management & Workers Council and their representative organization.
- Union wage negotiations – arriving at amicable settlements across plants and resolution of employee grievances.
- Harmonizing Plant HR Management initiatives with the support of Operations team, disciplinary matters, and handle external and internal turbulence.
- Driving Advanced Workforce Strategy agenda involving seamless movement and growth of talent, be an Implementation Partner for long term strategic blue collar & white collar employee Projects.
- Manages ongoing contract labour administration, employee relations, and training in support of an organizations labour relations strategy.
- Manages the contract negotiations preparation process and participates in negotiations.
- Maintains a business partnership with the labour organization and company representatives.
- Manages the administration and implementation of the organization's labour relations programs, policies and procedures; manages conflicts and the grievance process, prepares for arbitration, and interprets labour contracts.
Co- Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Industrial Relations and Plant HR Management, Government liaising, statutory compliances, Blue collar i.e. Operating Group – resolution of grievances.
- Plan, design and implement work-force strategies, employee engagement strategies in consultation with HQ Corporate HR/IR team ensuring “productive working environment” in the plant.
- Work closely with corporate HR and plant manufacturing team to facilitate improved work output.
- Effective administration services like security, housekeeping, garden and support.
- Addressing employee grievances and ensure that the overall morale of the workers at various section quite motivated.
- Building positive relationship with the unions and facilitate business/process improvements through union negotiations including Plant disciplinary actions (domestic enquiries, supervision of employee conduct, discipline) and represent in grievance redressal forums, in arbitration, conciliation matters if any.
- Manage the welfare & CSR activities within or nearby plant location to build a good employer brand.
- Legal matters, conciliation, adjudication, liaison with company’s advocates and legal consultants.
- Liaison with local bodies, courts, labor department, local government authorities etc.
- Supervising multi-division industrial relations ensuring “customer responsive work environment”.
- Management of Contract Labour as well as external environment and maintaining all statutory compliances under factory and Labour laws requirement under the Indian Factories Rules.
- Manage peak and business fluctuating demands through innovative temporary hiring schemes.
- Wage negotiations and converting Management expectations in to the Union Long-term settlement.
- Formation and coordination of various committees.
- Monitor personnel records.
- Statutory /non statutory welfare benefits implementation.
- Should have full knowledge of provisions of contract labour Act and procedure and ability to handle floating manpower and its management.
- Supervising administration services.
- Knowledge of Labour Laws & codes, Statutory Compliance and its application, Disciplinary Process application, Employee Grievance handling, Union Management and Negotiation, Contract Act, rules and Management.
