Senior SAP Basis Administrator (Open to Remote)

We are seeking a Senior SAP Basis Administrator to join the team. This person will serve a pivotal role in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of our organization's SAP landscape. Leveraging your extensive expertise in SAP systems and technologies, you will collaborate in the design, implementation, and optimization of our SAP infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning and ensuring seamless operation of critical business processes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will manage system upgrades, patches, and migrations while adhering to best practices and security standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Optimizing, monitoring, and configuring the SAP environments - development, quality assurance, and production systems in line with business requirements

  • Ability to meet SLA's and project deadlines

  • Ability to implement changes to the SAP environment in a structured approach using change control processes that minimizes risk and ensures high system availability and performance for each of the SAP systems

  • Interact with customers and vendors to maintain operating condition at optimum level

  • Develop expertise on specific technologies and procedures, review system performance statistics, and perform configuration modifications and fixes

  • Review complex problem situations and identify preventive measures / improvements to processes, procedures or tools, and implement these as required

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all operational security and emergency procedures

  • Monitoring all SAP Architecture

  • Manage landscape synchronization activities, such as system clone and refresh activities

  • Manage Early Watch and Go-Live checks, SAPGUI deployment

  • Manage the resolution of help desk tickets, application server load balancing, printer troubleshooting, and spool administration

  • Plan and perform Basis disaster recovery and high availability testing

  • Provide technical direction to team members and consultants

  • Manage overall SAP note implementations and drive technical SAP incidents to resolution

  • Document and maintain landscape diagrams and component versions

  • Develop and enforce process and procedures

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience in SAP Basis administration

  • Core experience working with SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 3 or 4 tier environments, SAP XI (PI), Solution Manager Systems, BTP, Cloud Connector

  • Develop and enforce process and procedures

  • Experience with SAP Security, Role and User Management

  • Experience with administration of SAP Webdispatcher is a plus

  • Experience managing SAP environments in an AWS EC2 environment

  • Experience with standard SAP brtools

  • Experience with SAP homogenous system copies

  • Setup and management SAP transport landscape

  • Meet with solutions architects, core team, select members of the IT team, developers, and project office personnel to ensure the necessary infrastructure is in place to support implementation of our SAP solutions

  • Ability to use and administrate Solution Manager

  • Proficient in utilizing and searching the SAP Service Marketplace (OSS)

  • Knowledge of Shell and Perl programming

  • Experience working with Oracle is a plus

  • SAP Archiving experience is a plus

  • Ability to work on EST and on a on-call rotation basis

The salary range for this position is $100,000-$110,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results. Please apply using our online application process, and please include your resume with salary requirements.
