As Product Manager, Responsible AI Content Safety on the Responsible AI & Tech team within Salesforce’s Office of Ethical & Humane Use, you’ll be responsible for leveraging your industry expertise to assist in setting guidelines and thresholds for testing - including adversarial testing (red-teaming) - Salesforce AI products globally. You will partner cross-functionally across the company with AI Research, Product, Engineering, and other teams to set thresholds for toxicity, bias, and other trust safeguards within our AI. You will gather data and evaluate our testing and red-teaming efficacy as we expand coverage around the world.
You will also be the lead for testing and red-teaming in multiple languages and with multiple cultural contexts in mind, and serve as liaison to external consultants and internal departments. You care deeply about keeping our products and data secure and are passionate about finding and mitigating risks by providing actionable guidance to product teams and driving long-term content safety improvements.
Location preferences: Seattle and San Francisco.

Responsibilities
-Create thresholds and standards for toxicity and other trust safeguards within AI systems and models.
-Perform ethical reviews for trusted design and architecture, risk modeling, and assessments to scale testing and red-teaming.
-Work cross-functionally with product managers, program managers, operations, policy, legal, and engineering teams to implement solutions for red-teaming and testing
-Identify trust gaps in AI applications, services, and products including internally developed, as well as third-party solutions
-Assess testing and red-teaming program efficacy as we expand coverage around the world.
-Become the go-to expert for testing and red-teaming in multiple languages and cultural contexts.
-Advise leadership and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders through a combination of verbal and written reports. Influence decision-makers and stakeholders to achieve a consistently high trust/responsible AI bar.
-Create relevant documentation, guidance, and metrics to report to your stakeholders and business leaders and deliver these in a clear, concise manner.
-Contribute to the long-term and short-term security strategy to ensure that applications are designed and built responsibly.
-Work with a team of experts that not only respond to known ethical risks, but proactively search and identify potential threats in order to build scalable protections to keep them out.
-Identify opportunities for organizational growth, process improvements, and creative and scalable solutions to improve our efficiency as a team.
-Model inclusive behaviors and help build a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives.


Qualifications
-7+ years of experience in testing and red-teaming discovery and prevention or related fields, including -3+ years of experience in detecting threats related to unsafe content in AI for text and other models.
-Multi-lingual, with proven business experience in working with multi-cultural/multi-location/multi-lingual teams. Proficiency in Spanish, Italian, German, French, Portuguese, or Japanese a plus.
-Expert experience coordinating and executing testing activities in large, complex environments.
-Subject matter expertise around threats and vulnerabilities to remain aware of the responsible AI landscape.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels including senior leadership
-Experience driving multiple technically complex initiatives while remaining effective at providing guidance to stakeholders
-Excellent prioritization skills, comfortable operating in highly ambiguous situations, and ability to work independently.
-A proven record of identifying signals of risky behavior or product/content abuse and using creativity with experience to mitigate complex threats
-Comfortably transition between big picture, strategic thinking and tactical, day-to-day operational execution

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $160,000 to $220,000.Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
