The Security Technology System Administrator is responsible for the management, administration, and troubleshooting of physical security systems, and related processes. Through passion for security, technical performance, and continuous improvement, this position will play a role in improving and evolving Salesforce’s physical security maturity. Responsibilities Include acting as the first point of contact for physical security systems incident response and supporting ongoing support efforts for Salesforce security technology.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Execute a detailed performance and maintenance program for the company’s physical security devices globally
Maintain monitoring of corporate security infrastructure (servers, storage, applications, network and end point devices)
Ensure uptime requirements are met by networked security infrastructure
Work quickly to address and remedy unanticipated faults within the Security Technology portfolio and ensure minimal system downtime
Minimize downtime by leading the incident management process using an internal case tracking system and provide clear communication to internal and external customers.
Be proactive for planned outages and preparing adequate coverage during those times
Reach out to appropriate approved integrators to schedule on site service tickets for failed and problematic end point devices and drive to completion.
Able to respond to system related issues quickly and with minimal supervision
Maintain internal documentation such as dashboards and system reports to measure current system health in real time.
Manage security technology vendor relationships including planning, auditing and instruction for vendor personnel working on-site.
Lead end to end delivery of physical security technology, including but not limited to access control systems, surveillance systems, remote access/badging systems, radio over IP (ROIP) and other technologies as vital to achieve critical objectives from planning through deployment
Oversee the security technology-related ticketing system requests for Building Operations to ensure response time standards and service quality is maintained.
Exercise a high level of independence and good judgment in a proactive, energetic and upbeat manner to foster positive team morale, excellent customer service, and solid leadership.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.)
Understanding of physical security technology related issues.
Strong understanding of security equipment and software as it relates to security access, cameras and alarm systems.
Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
Willingness to travel occasionally to offices domestically and globally.
Possesses strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Lenel Onguard Certification(s), Milestone Corporate 2021R2 Certification(s) preferred
Extensive Experience in physical access control system administration, and PACS system and device troubleshooting and resolution.
5+ years of corporate security or related experience
