About Us:

We are looking for Senior Engineering Manager for the ISV Platform team to help us build the future of the new Salesforce Code Analyzer and other related products. Our team is working on building a very powerful security scanner for all the packages that are developed on Salesforce Platform and sold on AppExchange. We want you to be part of this success story.

Salesforce Code Analyzer is a open source CLI plugin that is a one stop shop for making sure the applications that our Partners develop are secure, performant and well architected. We use industry popular static analysis tools like PMD, ESLint, RetireJS etc. to scan Apex, VF and LWC. Along with the other open source tools, we have our own Saleforce Graph Engine that performs Control Flow Analysis of Apex. You can learn more about the product in our public documentation.

About the Role:

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be the direct people manager for a team of engineers leading our modern development platform. You will partner closely with product owner leveraging your deep developer experience to help Salesforce developer community at large, you will act as technical guide and the leading voice of reason for the team. You will work closely with the team on the front lines analyzing design decisions, setting up technical guidance, interfacing with users and managing day to day product operations. You will work closely with the Engineers in the team and senior leadership to develop a roadmap and subsequent projects to evolve the team’s product with the changing ecosystem with a heavy focus product adoption and scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the team’s product backlog, manage long term as well as day to day delivery priorities

  • Guide, mentor and direct people manager for a group of senior engineers responsible for their professional growth and development

  • Technical leader for the team and ensure the team’s technical direction is setting it up for long term success

  • Partner closely with Product Manager to ensure we are building right solutions

  • Dexterously own balancing of production features Support, feature delivery, and Engineering efficiency

  • Capable of driving and delivering thin slices of end-to-end functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience leading large scale programs with huge customer adoption

  • Experience of leading a group of highly experienced and self-managed team

  • Experience designing, developing, debugging, and operating resilient systems.

  • Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a mission critical service

  • Experience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven Development

  • Experience using telemetry and metrics to drive operational excellence

  • Excited not only about building features but also engineering efficiency, managing technical debt and cost to serve initiatives

Technical Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment.

  • Adept in full-stack development, spanning from design to backend functionalities.

  • Participating in architecture discussions and planning and providing technical feedback

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $172,500 to $237,200.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $188,200 to $258,700.Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
