As an architect in the Developer Productivity Experience (DPX) Cloud in Salesforce, you'll ensure the delivery of a world-class developer experience. You will be part of the Salesforce Hyperforce platform team, responsible for developing the testing and monitoring tools and services that the developers and service owners need for fully automated deployments in public cloud environments. You will build frameworks and services for Post deployment validation, SLO validation and synthetic production monitoring. You will lead on new impactful projects in architecting low latency high throughput systems for data lake, distributed tracing, infrastructure monitoring and data analytics that unlocks developer productivity.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of complex software systems and applications that enables Salesforce developers to ship code quickly, reliably, efficiently and at scale.

• Build a highly scalable service for post deployment validation as part of continuous build/deployment using Spinnaker, Kubernetes, Go, Python, Java and CNCF tooling.

• Develop and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.

• Drive innovation and thought leadership within the organization, keeping up to date with the latest trends and developments in the industry.

• Build strong relationships with collaborators, including customers, vendors, and partners, to ensure alignment on technical solutions and delivery timelines.

• Assess new technologies and frameworks and make recommendations on their adoption to improve the performance and scalability of software systems

• Working with other technical leaders in the DPX organization and Salesforce, drive the LRP of Testing at Salesforce

• Build data mesh/lake for ingesting IT Ops data into scalable, cost effective real time systems spanning multiple data centers

• Design, develop and enhance trusted, secure and developer friendly test frameworks for internal developers to make software validation & automation easy

• Build framework for unlocking developer productivity by synthetic production monitoring of SCM/CI/CD tooling

• Drive the migration of services to declarative, event based, API first architecture

• Be a trusted partner for senior management to determine and provide best solutions and associated analysis

Required Skills

• BS or MS Degree in CS/EE (or related degree)

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in architecture design and development.

• Experience designing and building Developer productivity frameworks and services that can scale for 1000+ developers and millions of lines of code.

• Experience working with any public cloud: AWS/GCP/Azure

• Hands-on experience working with modern SDLC tools and CI/CD systems

• Extensive experience with multiple programming languages, frameworks, and databases.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work optimally with multi-functional teams and building consensus.

• Experience designing and implementing highly scalable and reliable systems.

• Experience influencing and mentoring other senior technical leaders and Architects.

• Excellent data-driven problem-solving and analytical skills.

• A passion for technology and innovation, with a desire to continuously learn and improve.

Desired Skills

• Experience working with Spinnaker, docker, Kubernetes, Testing frameworks (JUnit etc)

• Experience with infra-as-code framework e.g.Terraform

• Industry leader in any software technology

• Experience presenting in major conferences

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $233,300 to $355,900.Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
