Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS in Bellevue, WA:

Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Provide resilient, secure, high-performance, and user-friendly hosting platforms for any MuleSoft Runtimes. Develop, enhance, and operate one of the largest runtime planes (100k+ assets) for integration platform as a service (iPaaS). Work with engineering management, product owners, and architects to define and execute the platform architecture vision and continue to bring new technologies and products to onboard the platform. Perform hands-on analysis of the production systems for capacity planning and root cause analysis of critical issues. Work closely with Product Engineering to ensure that systems and services work reliably in production environments to maintain 100% uptime requirements. Develop system and service software for modern applications running in customer environments. Agile development and cloud technologies. Assist with building user interfaces, platform for developing applications in the cloud, and an infrastructure that supports storage and processing of mission critical data. Analyze, design and develop test cases and implement automated test suites. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or related field, OR Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering).

Special Skill Requirements: 2 years in each of the following: (1) Java; (2) Python; (3) SQL; (4) Web Service; (5) REST APIs; (6) Maven; (7) Docker; (8) AWS S3 and EC2; (9) DBMS; (10) Apache Kafka; (11) Apache Spark; (12) Redis. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $182,312 to $208,800.
