Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS in Bellevue, WA:

Job Duties: Learn and adapt to Salesforce security strategies, security goals, security objectives, and security capabilities to improve security posture. Architect and implement vuln data processing platforms for continuous assessment of threat and vulnerabilities, risk and policy compliance across Salesforce software and hardware assets. Build platforms for processing asset metadata across classes of assets (mobile, laptops, compute servers) and cloud multi-substrates (on-prem, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc). Build monitoring and engagement services to allow security engineers to act on the collected vulnerabilities and compliance data and take remediation actions. Advance and operate these security assessment platforms in a full DevOps model. Operate in an Agile development environment, including participating in daily scrums. Support the team’s engineering excellence by performing code reviews and mentoring team members. Work cross-functionally with product management and distributed systems engineering teams to complete large scale projects with impact across the company. Motivate and champion a strong team culture. Adapt to change quickly and eagerly: changing requirements, changing priorities, changing strategies. Advocate security and secure practices throughout Salesforce. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Apache Kafka, (2) Apache Spark, (3) Java, (4) Python, (5) MySQL, (6) AWS Technologies (EKS, S3, EC2), (7) Linux, (8) Shell Scripting, (9) Docker and Docker Compose. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $158,662 to $208,800.
