Salesforce Private Connect offers a fast, easy, and secure way to facilitate data exchange across different cloud platforms. Our team develops and maintains a top-tier, fully managed, private, and highly available distributed solution that enables customers to seamlessly connect to Salesforce.

Our team is dedicated to designing, implementing, and maintaining these secure Private Connect solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and adherence to industry-standard security practices. We collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including network, security, and infrastructure teams, to deliver comprehensive and tailored Private Connect solutions that meet customer’s business requirements.

We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure private network connections along with expanding our solution to other cloud substrates.

Your Impact

As a lead engineer, your job responsibilities will include:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and identify root causes of issues.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Ability to understand and define things at big picture level

• Ability to deep dive to precision details along with great decision making skill( mainly you define when and where to stop)

• You have experience balancing live-site management, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt,

• Familiarity with crash-only and recovery-oriented software design.

• Excited by building reliable, self-healing services on unreliable hardware.

• Experience designing, developing, debugging, and operating resilient distributed systems that run across thousands of compute nodes in multiple datacenters.

• Capable of driving and delivering thin slices of end-to-end functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops.

• Build new and exciting components in an ever-growing and evolving market technology to provide scale and efficiency.

• Develop high-quality, production-ready code that can be used by millions of users of our applications

• Make design decisions on the basis of performance, scalability, and future expansion.

• Work in a Hybrid Engineering model and contribute to all phases of SDLC including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing of the features.

• Build efficient components/algorithms on a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment

• Code review, mentoring junior engineers, and providing technical guidance to the team (depending on the seniority level)

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of development experience with Python in a Linux/UNIX data center environment

• Strong understanding of Public Cloud (AWS etc) networking concepts, and network security principles.

• Familiarity with public cloud computing platforms and services

• Experience with live site / production service ownership

• Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a mission critical service

• Experience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven Development

• Experience using telemetry and metrics to drive operational excellence
