We are seeking a Senior Design Program Manager to join our AI Product Design team with a focus on building standards, and processes, and fostering a creative environment for cross-functional teams. Reporting to the Head of AI Product Design, the Senior Design Program Manager plays a key role in collaborative strategic problem-solving, holistic systems thinking, and coaching. The Senior Design Program Manager will have a wide reach across several Product Engineering teams, spearheading end-to-end design roadmap definition, execution, and delivery within SDLC parameters.

What you'll bring:
- You are a strong strategic thinker with extensive experience improving processes and shaping solutions in ambiguous environments.
- You are highly motivated, results-oriented and user-focused with a proven record of successfully handling multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
- You have comprehensive knowledge of product development and design processes – including how to manage design roadmaps, milestones and delivery.
- You are highly organized with creative ways to bring definition and alignment.
- You manage multiple priorities and deadlines with context switching between projects without missing a beat.
- You are a keen relationship builder at all levels of the organization, across many different technical, business, operational, design and other roles to bring the right groups into alignment in order to drive successful outcomes.
- You are a self-starter with passion and expertise for leveraging available resources to establish standards and processes that support cross-functional teams and continuously seek improvement.
What you'll do
- Partner closely with product and development teams throughout the design lifecycle with a focus on managing priorities, resolving issues and fostering collaboration.
- Manage risks proactively, anticipate potential issues, implement appropriate mitigations and remove blockers or escalate accordingly.
- Apply in-depth knowledge and understanding of program management concepts, methodologies and tools and wielding them to support cross functional teams.
- Expertise in analyzing and aggregating project and program-level metrics into executive-level dashboards and/or status reports.
- Ability to prioritize and lead prioritization of work with minimum direction in a complex and diverse environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Leverage design knowledge to collaborate with stakeholders to define, plan, and design the appropriate end-to-end experiences and solutions to achieve design & product desired outcomes.
- Apply and promote HCD and Project management best practices
- · Experience delivering multiple parallel releases across complex landscape, in which several product teams are building product features and managing designs.
- · Optimize the operations of programs including roles, responsibilities, process and approach. Also optimize resource capacity and demand management.
- · Mentor and coach Producers within their program group.
- · Other duties as assigned or requested.
What you'll bring:
- 6+ years’ experience in Program Management in Design/Product fields
- 5+ years’ experience in Agile Project Management frameworks
- Experience working with Design teams
- Passion for process, innovation, and experience operationalizing scalable solutions
- PMP, CAPM, CSM, SAFe a plus
- SDLC a plus

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 136, 300 - 283,400 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
