Summary & Role Information:
The Global Office Network Technologies team manages the internal corporate office networks for more than 200 locations at SAP. The team is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the data network services in SAP’s Internal Corporate Network. SAP is planning to further strengthen the Office Network support team in the region EMEA. We are looking for a generalist in enterprise grade networking. You will join a team of experienced engineers who focus on network design and implementation within SAP offices leveraging various managed services.

What you’ll do

In close cooperation with internal peer teams and external partners you help to drive global network infrastructure projects e.g. office buildouts and technology refreshes. You ensure that office network services are delivered in time and budget and work closely with our Managed Service Providers to ensure rock solid operation, adherence to global standards and continuous service improvement.

  • Work as a part of our Global team to co-ordinate deployment of network services to new or expanding offices.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the design and operation model of network services
  • Work with peer teams to understand their business requirements. Implement a solution by working with various internal teams to meet project, company goals while adhering to various regulations.
  • Investigate new network technologies – drive standardization, foster automation and security
  • Ensure compliance of network infrastructure according to global standards and security policies as well as alignment across regional delivery teams


What you bring:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in Enterprise Network administration focused on complex network infrastructure setups. Experience in global projects with focus on LAN/wireless buildouts is a plus.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Ability to work with multiple projects and coordinate activities to meet project timelines
  • Fundamental knowledge of wired and wireless network technologies including network access control. DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, 802.1x should not be foreign words
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast paced and multicultural organization
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in spoken and written English is prerequisite
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification is a plus
  • Experience in scripting (e.g. Python), network automation is advantageous.
