WHAT YOU´LL DO

At SAP AI Experiences, we're amid an exciting transformation where most every user interaction will be affected by AI – and we’re looking for talented and dynamic individuals to join our evolution. We´re seeking a passionate Senior AI User Experience Design Specialist / System Designer to join our AI Design System team (part of the SAP Business AI Experiences team). We’ll be thriving together for best-in-class enterprise AI UX and making a significant contribution to the evolution of our SAP Fiori design system through the lens of AI. In this role you will

• Deliver key building blocks to the AI design system as part of the broader SAP Design System that serves product teams across SAP on their endeavor to the new era of SAP Business AI Experiences
• Explore, ideate, and deliver continuously emerging AI design patterns and specifications into SAP’s Design System
• Ensure what’s delivered through the AI design system is regularly evolving based on changing mental models, user and business needs and opportunities in close collaboration with the AI user research community to inform those updates
• Create and build prototypes to make design concepts tangible
• Present, visualize, and communicate ideas and concepts at different design stages in a clear and structured way to support design decisions
• Accompany development and delivery with UX expertise to ensure high quality outcomes for our end users
• Build relationships and collaborate closely with SAP´s UX and AI community to enable designers to deliver AI Experiences users trust and love
• Build relationships and collaborate closely with SAP´s Design System and Inner Source Partners to deliver AI patterns through Inner Source
• Support young talents by teaming up with them and providing actionable feedback that excels their growth.
• Focus on having an all-inclusive mindset and apply accessibility standards

WHAT YOU BRING

• Academic degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Media Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field
• 5-10 years of professional experience in enterprise scale application or system design for software solutions
• Proven track record in user experience design specific to AI and design systems deliverables
• Ability to inform and interpret user research on AI patterns and AI user experiences, applying outcomes to design decisions and documentation
• Proven experience in design, production, mock-up and prototyping tools, including Figma
• Ability to self-manage changing requirements, tight deadlines, technical constraints, and conflicting expectations through agile practices and Jira
• Proven experience in AI user experience design, preferably on emerging AI interaction patterns
• Self-driven and keen focus on outcomes despite unknowns
• Experience in navigating ambiguity in a design-driven environment
• Excellent skills in visualizing and communicating your concepts and ideas
• Actively and continuously broadening your horizon on design methodologies, technologies, AI UX trends and AI use cases
• A personality that thrives through collaboration
• Experience and motivation to actively contribute to a high-performing, self-organised, diverse and inclusive team culture
• Experience in Agile and Jira a plus
• Fluency in English

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 136,300 - 283,400 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
