The Intelligent Data Management (IDM) team in internal IT is a diverse, global organization dedicated to realizing trusted data within SAP. Our primary responsibility is to govern and deliver high-quality data products and data services, ensuring seamless integration into business processes. By fostering robust data governance and management strategies, we empower a data-driven enterprise, enabling stakeholders worldwide to enhance their decision-making capabilities and drive strategic insights.

About the role

In this role, you will engage directly with the heart of SAP as a cloud company, where IDM provides insights into the SAP cloud product portfolio from commercial, technical, and operational perspectives. You will play a crucial role in building the data model, governing data, and executing strategies that support newly adapted and future business processes. Your responsibilities will include translating business requirements into meaningful solutions, improving data models and business rules, and conducting root cause analyses to define solution proposals. You will drive issues to resolution, acting as a key enabler for IT delivery teams.

Your expertise will be essential in deep diving into data management, internal data processes, and systems, helping to build trust in data with stakeholders. Additionally, you will support the execution of strategic programs designed to propel our organization forward in its cloud transformation initiative.

What you’ll do

- Intake issues from various roles within the ecosystem, conduct root cause analysis (primarily from business/process), and drive solution design/implementation together with business and IT.

- Own and execute strategic or tactical work packages End-to-End.

- Support in defining end-users’ requirements on products and solutions, formulating features and capabilities, and taking responsibility for the journey from the initial idea until after-business rollout activities.

- Drive the strategic vision of the given Data Products and coordinate delivery with responsible experts.

- Contribute to transformational projects with expertise on data objects, ensuring alignment with our cloud transformation goals.

- Collaborate closely with IT, Architecture, Process Owners, and Data Object Owners to ensure integration and effectiveness of data products.

- Actively support the execution of strategic programs that drive the organization toward its cloud transformation objectives.

What you’ll bring

- 3+ years of experience working in the software industry in Business Process Management, Master Data Management, or Business Operations.

- Basic business process knowledge

- Understanding of the sales cycle, Master Data Management, and Data Governance.

- Familiarity with the SAFe / Scaled Agile Framework methodology.

- High enthusiasm for devising new scenarios, investigating, prototyping, and operationalizing data solutions tailored for cloud environments.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex data models and ensure their alignment with business objectives.

- Ability to drive data integration strategies that enhance commercial, technical, and operational insights.

- Strong business acumen and ability to liaise effectively with business stakeholders.

- Proven project management and coordination skills.

- Skills in internal IT systems (CRM, CPQ, Jira) are a plus.

- Fluency in English.

- Experience working in dynamic, cross-functional environments, particularly in cloud transformation initiatives.

- Ability to collaborate with a variety of teams and stakeholders within a matrix structure.
