Purpose and objectives

What do you think about being part of an innovative, dynamic and collaborative development environment, building a state-of-the-art platform together with a team of experts from around the world?
We are developing brand new SAP product, which will offer SaaS experience to the admin end user to set up the data integration architecture and to the business end user to get insights into this underlying data.

About the product and the team

You will be part of the SAP Foundation Cockpit team in Budapest. With this new product, SAP will offer SaaS experience to provision E2E business scenarios represented by insight applications. This new SAP product will offer the ability to on-board an E2E business scenario, that brings high business value to the customer and ensures that all required technical parts are properly provisioned and connected.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a developer who would like to build the foundation of our solution. The role As a software architect of the BDC Cockpit team, you work in an innovative cloud environment and being part of an agile team alongside experienced colleagues and early talents. You will focus on architecture of BDC Cockpit solutions, writing Architecture Concept and Software Designs Documents, working on proof of concepts, guiding, reviewing, and supporting the team with designs and implementation details. You will have the opportunity to support stakeholders and customers and to collaborate with members from other teams in this new SAP project.

Education and qualifications / skills and competencies

• University degree in computer science or related
• 7+ years' experience in software development projects in any role.
• 2+ years’ experience as Software Architect
• Fluent English
• Excellent understanding of modern software languages
• JavaScript, TypeScript
• Excellent understanding of software architecture design patterns
• Real experience with microservices architecture
• Real experience with k8s technology
• Excellent capability in writing architecture design documents
• Excellent capability in communication of architectural design to the team
• Good understanding of DevOps and databases is an advantage.
