This is a hybrid position (requiring 3 days a week in the office) and is open to applicants currently based in either Mexico, City or Monterrey, MX.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Enterprise Cloud Services Delivery (ECS) is responsible for running customer landscapes around the globe in a 24x7 operations model. We operate a variety of important and business critical SAP systems and applications embedded in an international delivery approach. We are responsible to build and operate the external customer systems for ECS Delivery.
As part of the ECS Operations Team the Global Database Team is responsible for all databases. Beside project delivery and day to day administration we are part of strategic pilot projects for new technologies as reference for other customers.
For our Delivery Centers in Monterrey or Mexico City, we are looking for an IT Technology Consultant as Database Administrator with a strong technical background for supporting critical projects & administration in the Enterprise Cloud Services Delivery environment. Beside administration we are part of pilot projects for new technologies as reference for SAP customers.
Driving continuous improvement is our main focus to increase operation, availability and efficiency. Infrastructure landscape re-architecture and new technology adoption is another important part. Global thinking and a strong customer focus are essential within the new ECS Delivery program.
Work Experience:
• Solid experience of work experience
• Experience in Operations Support in a Global Team
• SLA up keeping and Customer Satisfaction initiatives
Database Specific Required Skills:
• Experience in different database concepts preferably HANA or ASE
• SAP Product suit knowledge is an added plus
• Exposure to the automation tools /scripting or processes
• DB installations and upgrade, Planning, setup and implementation.
• Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning of Systems
• Organize / Structure day2day documentation
• Continuous support of SAP systems and problem solving.
• Development of concepts and tools to solve and prevent problems and to increase efficiency
• Working in international teams and driving global knowledge transfer and best practices
• DB performance optimization on detailed level
• Willingness to take on call duty/Weekend tasks.
• Willing to Work with additional and new databases is must like HANA, Sybase.
• DB Concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copy, high availability and disaster recovery strategy, export-import , replication is must. Basis knowledge candidate is preferred.
General Required Skills:
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong academic degree in Business management.
• Good Automation skills and willing to improve tools in operations.
• PMP or ITIL certification is a consideration
• Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational databases.
• Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
• Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Technical documentation skills / WIKI.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Abilities to work on multiple projects, track and ensure progress to completion
• Good written and oral communication skills.
