What you’ll do

As an Associate UI Developer for the Sustainability Control Tower, you will help create interactive, user-friendly interfaces for our next-generation SaaS applications. Working with experienced developers, you’ll gain hands-on experience while contributing to visually appealing and responsive user interfaces.

In this role, you will:

• Build Interactive Interfaces: Assist in creating intuitive user interfaces using JavaScript, Node.js, and frontend technologies like UI5 (or other frameworks) to ensure an engaging user experience.
• Support UX Design: Collaborate with UX designers to implement wireframes and user stories into responsive, high-quality designs.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work alongside backend developers, product managers, and designers to deliver a seamless user experience across the application.
• Ensure Consistency: Help maintain design standards for a cohesive UI/UX across platforms.
• Optimize Performance: Focus on improving load times, interactions, and overall front-end performance.
• Learn and Innovate: Stay up-to-date with trends and technologies in frontend development and UX design while contributing to UI and UX improvement

What you bring

Required skills

We’re seeking enthusiastic, curious, and talented individuals who are excited to start their journey in software development. You should have:

· 1-2 years of experience in JavaScript and Node.js for frontend development.

· Knowledge of UI5 (preferred) or other modern frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.

· Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.

· Experience building responsive, cross-browser compatible user interfaces.

· Ability to work with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly designs.

· Basic knowledge of integrating frontend components with REST APIs.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Understanding of UI/UX best practices for usability, accessibility, and performance.

· Experience using version control systems like Git.

· Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Optional skills

• Familiarity with UX design tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
• Understanding of agile development processes.
• Exposure to cloud-based solutions and working in a DevOps environment.
