Meet your team
The BTP HANA & Persistency organization is a global organization dedicated to delivering data management solutions that address customers’ unique and competitive business requirements. You will work in a multi-national team responsible for security-relevant services, as well as the overall security and compliance posture of the BTP HANA & Persistency portfolio.
What you’ll do
Our services are designed and implemented using cutting-edge technologies, especially Kubernetes and Containerization. They are running at a large scale in all major cloud provider infrastructures. With a strong focus on reusability across the BTP HANA & Persistency portfolio, we are fulfilling our responsibility to provide an enterprise-ready unified data and semantics layer that ultimately enables our customers to build mission-critical, scalable, and reliable applications on top of our services.
As a Product Security DevOps (Senior) Engineer you will contribute to:
- Design, implement, and operate scalable microservices that serve critical (security) functions for SAP HANA Cloud.
- Enabling our customers a trusted and secure environment, whereas fulfilling internal and external compliance requirements
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional and internal development teams
- Evaluate emerging technologies, best practices and industry standards, assess their potential for SAP HANA Cloud and consult on their introduction
- Provide ongoing support for deployed microservices, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and security
- Translate strategy and goals into technology.
What you bring
- A degree in computer science, informatics, business informatics, or related areas.
- Proven experience in developing and operating microservices in cloud native environments
- Experience with Kubernetes and public clouds (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, public cloud native services)
- Understanding of respective security and compliance requirements
- Strong collaborative mindset to position the services
- Very good language skills in English (written and verbal)
